I’d use the money to pay off my unsubsidized loans for Carleton!
Applying for my daughter as she is looking to start her freshman year in Fall 2025. This would help reduce the loan amount she will need to attend a liberal arts school in PA. She is considering doing a fast track Bachelors/Masters program for Public Health.
I would use this to help pay for my college education. Anything helps. College is very expensive. I am starting this Fall. I am going to study elementary education.
If I win this, I will spend the money to pay for my classes and nothing else. All other costs are purely my responsibility.
If I had $1,000 to put toward my education and future goals, I would use it to cover college expenses like tuition, textbooks, or academic resources for my criminal justice studies. College tuition can be expensive, and every dollar helps reduce the financial burden, allowing me to focus more on my studies and less on financial stress. Textbooks and course materials are essential for success in my major, as they provide the foundational knowledge needed to understand the complexities of the legal system, law enforcement procedures, and forensic analysis. Additionally, I would invest in online courses, study guides, or software that could enhance my learning experience and better prepare me for internships or future career opportunities. Having access to these academic resources would allow me to stay ahead in my coursework and develop the critical thinking skills necessary for a career in criminal justice. By using the money in this way, I would be making a direct investment in my education and future success.
I would use the scholarship to help cover the costs of college. I’m worried about student loans debt, and this scholarship would help me more comfortably get an education.
This money would go toward paying part of my tuition, taking away some of the stress that comes with paying for school.
I would use the money to put towards an out-of-state college, since I’m paying all on my own.
I would likely use some of the $1,000 to buy books while attending San Joaquin Delta College to get an A.S.-T. in geology, or for my tuition or books while attending U.C. Davis to get a B.S. in geology and then an M.S. in earth and planetary sciences.
If I were awarded $1,000, I would use it to help cover the cost of my college tuition and necessary supplies, such as textbooks and a laptop. As someone who aspires to become a special education teacher, I am passionate about advocating for children with special needs and creating a more inclusive environment in small communities like my own in Georgia.
This scholarship would not only ease the financial burden on my family—especially as my mother recently filed for bankruptcy—but it would also bring me one step closer to making a real difference in the lives of children who often go unseen. I plan to dedicate my life to helping others, and this support would help build the foundation for that dream.
Next year I plan on going to Cal Poly San Luis Obisbo to study civil engineering with a personal focus on sustainability. While there, I plan to join the civil and environmental engineering clubs to further my practical knowledge of environmental engineering. With our fragile natural world in mind, I look forward to creating sustainable structures from my education there. The first step in this goal is to purchase textbooks and pay for tuition and club dues which is why the Goals Fund Scholarship is so important to me. In addition, winning this scholarship would allow me to focus more on my studies by limiting the hours I would need to work. Step by step, I will push forward towards my goal of becoming an engineer. I would be tremendously helpful to be awarded the Goals Fund Scholarship to help me with this goal.
I want to offset some of my student loans and help me pay for college.
I would use the money to pay for my tuition cost for school
I would use the money to pay towards my tuition so that I can get a BA in communications and digital marketing! This way I can empower the next generation of students like myself through social media marketing and create a community/safe space for them to growth and embark on their own academic journey!
With an Associate’s Degree in Sonography earned two years from now, I could be working as a diagnostic medical sonographer. I’ll likely be employed in a hospital, clinic, doctor’s office, or imaging center. My daily tasks would involve using ultrasound equipment to create images of patients’ internal organs and tissues for diagnostic purposes. I would work closely with physicians and other healthcare professionals to provide crucial information for patient care. The cultures I may interact with will depend heavily on the demographics of the area where I work. Given the racial diversity in America, I’m very likely to encounter patients from a wide range of cultural backgrounds. This could include immigrant communities with patients who are first or second-generation immigrants from various parts of the world, each with their own unique customs, beliefs, and languages, religious groups, indigenous populations, people with disabilities interacting with patients with disabilities will require sensitivity and understanding of their specific needs and communication styles, LGBTQ+ individuals, socioeconomic differences patients from different socioeconomic backgrounds may have varying levels of health literacy and access to resources, which can impact their understanding of medical procedures and their ability to follow treatment plans. Age, socioeconomic status, and personal experiences all contribute to an individual’s cultural background. Developing strong communication skills, cultural sensitivity, and empathy will be crucial for providing effective and respectful care to all my patients. Continuing education on cultural competency will be beneficial throughout the entirety of my career
If I were awarded $1,000, I would put the funds towards building my fashion portfolio and purchasing the materials I need for my future classes. As a student pursuing a career in fashion, every bit of support helps me use my passion to make something more. This scholarship would be a huge blessing as I continue investing in my education in fashion school.
I would use this money to help pay for materials during my first year at college. My planned major is fashion design, where supplies aren’t provided and material costs can get pricey very fast. A big worry I currently have is if I’ll be able to afford tuition and supply costs at the same time, so it would be comforting to know that one is already covered. Materials such as art supplies, fabric, and thread are necessary in order to succeed in my major, and things that I need to constantly keep buying for new projects. I don’t want to have to worry about my work being subpar in comparison to my peers, solely because I couldn’t afford to get materials that are of better quality. This money would be an investment in my future, as the projects I work on will help me be able to build a portfolio that will help land me a job. I’m grateful for the opportunity to be able to apply for this scholarship, and excited to see what my future holds.
I will use this $1,000 award towards funding my education in the career of physics with a concentration in astronomy at the University of Alabama in Huntsville (UAH), by aiding my payment for housing, food, or school supplies.
I deserve a $1000 scholarship for college funds because I have consistently demonstrated academic excellence and a strong commitment to my studies. I have also faced financial challenges that make it difficult to afford college expenses without assistance. This scholarship would significantly help my financial issue and allow me to focus more on my academic and career goals.
Next year, I will be attending the University of Iowa to get my bachelor’s degree in Public Health. After completing my undergraduate, I will attend graduate school to get my master’s in Epidemiology. My ultimate career goal is to become a cancer epidemiologist. I was inspired to pursue this career because both my grandma and mom have battled cancer. When I start my career, I will work to determine the causes behind certain cancers and why they are affecting some populations more than others. I cannot wait to be able to help make advancements in cancer research to benefit people like my mom and grandma.
This scholarship will allow me to make a difference in the health of my community. Both of my degrees will come with many expenses, and this scholarship will greatly assist in paying for my education. I know that I will put this scholarship to good use in achieving my career goal and making my mom and grandma proud.
