The Goals Fund Scholarship: How Would You Spend $1,000 Toward Your Education & Future Goals?

Receiving this scholarship would help further my education in Business & Marketing and cover any expenses such as textbooks, and the overall materials I will need to provide for my degree. At a young age, l’ve always had a passion for social media and advertisement behind large companies and I am incredibly excited to turn that into a career by studying marketing. I want to use this degree to direct a beauty brand and advertise for an audience to grow the company and engage with the community to get feedback and support. This scholarship will allow me to focus on my studies and skills, giving me the creativity I need to succeed in the Business field.

If I were awarded the $1,000 scholarship, I would use the funds to help cover tuition, books, and other educational expenses as I work toward becoming a psychiatrist. I plan to earn my Bachelor of Science and Master’s degree, and eventually level up to a Ph.D. at a four-year HBCU university.

This scholarship would ease the financial burden on my family, who have sacrificed so much to support my dreams. It would allow me to focus more on my studies and less on the stress of how I’ll pay for school.

My goal is to use my education to help people, especially in Black and underserved communities where mental health support is often overlooked. I want to open mental health clinics, provide accessible care, and mentor students who want to pursue careers in medicine.

This journey means everything to me—not just as a career, but as a way to heal, serve, and uplift others. With this scholarship, I’ll be one step closer to turning that dream into reality.

If I got $1,000, I would use it to cover simple college costs like books and transportation so I can learn more and stress less about finances. I will major in Public Administration and Policy because I believe everyone should have the same rights and opportunities no matter what their income level is. This award would not just pay for my education; it would help make possible a future in which people don’t have to rely so much on capital just to have what should be basic rights.

I would use the money from this scholarship to fund my education for my future career as an psychologist. It would help me get through college with less debt so I could help people without having to worry about myself first.

I would use the scholarship to help pay off some of my college tuiton at Hampton University, where I will be majoring in Nursing.

I am a high school senior starting my first year of college in Fall of 2025. I’m halting in finance and minoring in business administration playing football at California Lutheran University! As an African American and Puerto Rican individual, I bring a unique and powerful blend of cultures, experiences, and perspectives that fuel my drive to succeed and give back to my community. Winning this $1,000 scholarship would not only support my academic and personal growth but also help me continue breaking barriers and representing underrepresented communities in spaces where our voices are often missing.

Hi! If I were to win this 1,000 it would greatly help me be able to afford housing/ tuition for my first semester. Winning would mean I could spend less time working to put myself through school and a little more time studying to ensure I can go onto medical school later in my life. My future goal is to become an emergency physician with hopefully enough annual pay to give back to my parents who have been working three jobs just to ensure they can help me with school. This 1,000 would help ensure I could spend more time studying/working for that goal!

I am a high school senior who will be attending Colorado State in the Fall to study Biochemistry with a minor in Business Administration to hopefully eventually become a veterinarian. I would use the funds to pay my tuition, as even with scholarships I still need to cover $22,000. I want to attend veterinary school at Colorado State after I graduate. I plan to graduate a year early, as I have enough AP credits to have already finished my Freshman year. I plan to use my minor to one day open my own clinic to serve animals.

I would use this scholarship to pay off some of my student loans for my first year of college at Point Loma Nazarene University. This would allow me to continue saving money from my paycheck to go to medical school after my bachelors degree and pursue a career in dermatology.

If I won this scholarship I would use the money towards paying tuition for my freshman year of college. After graduating with my bachelor’s degree in biochemistry, I plan do go to dental school. The money provided by this scholarship would help me out so much in my higher education journey.

This $1,000 would be an incredible opportunity to help me cover some of the cost of my room and board as I am going to college out of state and have no choice but to live on campus.

I am deeply passionate about making an impact on others which is critical to the career I am pursuing. Many of the products I will help transport are vital for survival. For example, I may work to ensure pharmaceuticals reach communities where they are desperately needed to maintain health. I could also help coordinate the efficient transportation of clean water to disaster-stricken areas where it is in dire demand. There are countless essential products that I could help deliver to people in need. The degree I plan to earn over the next four years is far from meaningless—it is a crucial part of my vision to create a global impact. This scholarship will bring me one step closer to making a real difference in people’s lives around the world.

Hello! I am a first generation freshman at the University of Connecticut. I am an economics major planning to minor is business administration. My goal is to attend law school and pursue corporate law. I would use the $1000 to pay for my tuition because my fee bill is very expensive.

I would use to to help pay for my tuition for business school, which would help me to eventually start my own business!

If i were given the scholarship, it would enable me to pay part of my tuition for my freshman year without putting a huge financial burden on my parents. Thank you for this opportunity

I want to become a child psychologist and help children, so I’d use this scholarship in order to help fund my dream. Child psychology has been my dream for a long time now, since children are often the most vulnerable group and yet lack much help.

Hello! If l am awarded this scholarship, I would put the money towards my tuition + housing for UC Berkeley as an incoming freshman and woman in engineering! This opportunity would help me so much as I did not qualify for any financial aid through FAFSA, and my father, who was (previously) most of my family’s income was just laid off. Since I am middle class however, my cost to attend Berkeley is around $40,000 per year.
