If I received the scholarship, I would put it towards my Nursing Degree. Currently, I am dual-enrolled in high school and college classes. As a sophomore, I have 21 college credits completed. By the end of my high school education, I will have an Associate of Arts and a minor in Psychology through Ohio State University. I have pushed myself this far to avoid paying for as much college as possible, something this scholarship would also do. This scholarship would help me to be less in debt. My ultimate goal is to become a Nurse Anesthetist, but this requires three extra years of schooling, something I cannot afford. The scholarship would help me reach my goals of fulfilling a Doctorate of Nursing, something I was always told was impossible.
I have a passion for healthcare and clinical studies. There are so many people that need help and I want to aid them! I plan on majoring in either health science or nursing; however, those studies can be very expensive. This $1,000 scholarship will give me the resources I need in order to obtain this degree. Thanks for your consideration!
Winning this scholarship would ultimately help me complete my last few college courses to receive my bachelor’s degree. After winning an REU (Research Experience for Undergraduates), I’m able to gain internship credit from the program to be applied towards my degree requirements. However, enrolling in credits will cost money combined with the cost of completing my last undergraduate course in the Fall of 2025 before I graduate. Not being able to graduate along with my class has felt pretty rough but trusting in my own personal journey is what’s important. I’ve come too far as a student and an individual to let anything keep me from receiving my degree.
As a business major, I feel I am in the right place to get the best education for the field of my interest, but the financial burden of this education would make it very difficult. I would use this scholarship money to make my college education a reality by helping to lower the cost of my dream school and not having to worry about a huge burden of debt.
I would use $1,000 towards my student loan debt so me and my family can live comfortably.
If I was somehow blessed with the opportunity to win this scholarship aid, it would provide such a significant leap in the right direction as a hopeful filmmaker, even though that isn’t enough to describe the immense dreamer I am for wanting to bring my unique and dreamy storys to the world. I have incredible ideas and have been working all my life to engage in this field and with hopes to scrape enough dollars to even get a shot at a school where I can be surrounded around like-minded visionairies and recieve the long needed support and tools, would be lifechanging and forever impactful with my discipline combined with my lifelong trained talents and driven personality, any chance taken on me won’t be taken in waste.
If I was given the scholarship funds, I would use the money to pay for my college tuitions. I plan to go to a 4 year University but my father, who does not believe in college educations, does not wish to support me when it comes to a higher education. He sees this as a waste of time, so this scholarship would allow me to receive the support that I never had from my dad, and allow me to go to places I thought I could never afford. Not only would this support me, but my older brother with severe special needs. Since he is unable to live on his own, his life triumphs through mine. To ensure he is taken care of to the best of my ability, I must gain a higher education and push myself beyond my limits while ignoring any obstacles that may occur.
I’d use this scholarship to help pay off my tuition. I come from a low income family so I’m trying to get all the help I can to pursue my dream of becoming a Clinical Laboratory Technologist.
I would use this money to pay for my college to become a Children’s and Family Therapist. This money would help me get this degree and ultimately help some of the children in our world.
Thank you for the consideration.
I would use the $1,000 scholarship to contribute to the cost of housing as that is the most expensive part of my finances for college
I would use $1,000 to pay for my tuition fees at the college I am to attend to become a registered nurse. $1,000 would greatly alleviate financial stress as I study to become the best possible nurse I can be.
I would use this $1,000 dollars to help achieve my future career goals of becoming an optometrist. As a member of the Lumbee Tribe of North Carolina, I have always wanted a career that would better help my fellow people and others. By becoming an optometrist, I would be able to help treat and prevent eye disease that are caused by diabetes.
As an aspiring electrical or mechanical engineer coming from an immigrant, single-income household, the biggest limit for my family when it comes to college applications is the cost of attendance. I want to use this scholarship to help alleviate the staggering expenses of out-of-state or private universities I am applying to such as Georgia Tech and Duke, respectively. I also wish to invest some of the scholarship money in the stock market to grow for future use like paying off any student debt I may accrue or treating my parents in return for all they’ve done for me. Overall, this scholarship would help bridge the monetary gap between me and my ambitions in the field of robotics and mechatronics.
I would put the money towards my tuition. I intended to major in STEM, more specifically, Computer science or IT. And this scholarship would help me achieve my goal in pursuing further education, especially since I’m from a first generation, low-income household, and my mother is the only one around in my life and can’t fund my college education.
If I were awarded this scholarship, I would use it to help relieve my parents of the financial burden of college by using it to assist payment in tuition, or other college related expenses. With 2 kids in college, I want to make their lives as easy as possible, and helping with payment would mean a lot to them.
I would use it to pay for my books and other school supplies.
I would use the $1,000 to help pay for my undergraduate education. After seeing the impact that cerebrovascular accidents have on people’s lives, including my grandpa and a close family friend, I want to become a neurologist to help others recover and prevent strokes. In order to become a neurologist, I will earn a bachelor’s degree in neuroscience and go to medical school. Most of the prestigious undergraduate programs with excellent neuroscience majors are extremely costly. This means it will be an expensive journey and I want to try managing my educational debt by earning scholarships, including the Goals Funds Scholarship. Having less debt will also prevent me from restricting my undergraduate college options, so I will be able to choose quality education over the cheapest option. This opens the door to more opportunities at larger institutions that are well known for their neuroscience programs. The Goals Funds Scholarship can support my dream of becoming a neurologist and helping people with strokes without gaining a significant amount of debt.
If I won, I would use the $1,000 to help with my cost of living while getting situated in college. I want to commit as much time as I can to my studies about human services and this would help ease the stress I’d inevitably be going through.
If I were to win this scholarship, the funds would go to helping me graduate with my associates degree. I am currently a junior in high school, and I am currently trying to get my associates degree at the same time as my high school diploma. This will allow me to not spend as many years in college after high school. The downside of this plan is that I am too young to apply for most scholarships, so the costs of tuition and books add up fast. This scholarship would be a huge help in achieving my goal.
If I was selected for the scholarship, the money I received would go towards my college funds to further my pursue of education. As a low-income first generation student with divorced parents, the extra support would greatly assist my journey in obtaining my dream career and better the lives of me and my loved ones.
