If awarded the $1,000 scholarship, I would use it to help cover the cost of tuition, textbooks, and other academic expenses during my undergraduate studies. This support would ease the financial burden on my family and allow me to focus on maintaining strong grades and gaining experience that will prepare me for dental school in the future. My ultimate goal is to become an oral surgeon, and after completing my undergraduate degree, I plan to apply to dental school to continue my journey. As a Hispanic woman in STEM, I’m passionate about giving back to underprivileged communities by providing access to quality dental care. This scholarship would bring me one step closer to achieving that dream and making a meaningful impact.
In preparation for my education, I have worked many hours throughout high school. However, my savings are nowhere near enough to cover the absurd expenses of college. This scholarship will reduce financial stress as I plan to use it towards my tuition / room & board and allow me to focus more on my studies and personal projects. Furthermore, by using this scholarship fund towards my tuition / room & board, it will allow me to use some of my savings towards business initiatives and enable my innovative ideas to come to life. Overall, college paired with this scholarship will push me towards my career and educational goals.

I would use this $1,000 scholarship to pay for my tuition and continue my secondary education at my dream college, allowing me to participate in a rigorous dietetics program. This college sits outside of my financial range, and thus the pressure of payment falls upon my family; this scholarship would ease the financial burden of a better education and allow me to pursue my dream of becoming a registered dietitian and make an impact in the nutritional lives of my community without financial stress and hopefully debt free.
I’m transferring out of state due to circumstances. This money will help a lot due to relocation. I would put it towards books, tuition, and fees due to being an out-of-state student.

This $1,000 scholarship would greatly help me cover my tuition cost at the University of Oklahoma. As a highschool student of immigrant parents, this scholarship will help me achieve my dream of becoming a pediatric nurse, by lightening the financial burden that comes with receiving such education. Receiving this scholarship will help achieve my dream career, in hopes of becoming an inspiration to my younger siblings but also other African American girls dreaming of making a positive impact to society , by pursuing a career in health care. I want to refine my skills, explore new techniques, and deepen my understanding of art’s history and impact. Higher education will give me the tools to grow, both as an artist and as a person. It will prepare me to turn my passion into a lifelong career, one that brings comfort and connection to others. Art has given me purpose. It has helped me cope, heal, and grow. Now, I want to give that gift back to the world. College will help me do that and this scholarship will help me pay for it.
If I did end up being awarded the $1,000 for this scholarship, I would use it to help pay for my college education at a school somewhere near me so I can pursue a career in data science. I’ve always loved statistics and numbers and so it would honestly be a dream working with data. My parents want to support me as much as they can with this, but the both of them have health problems and so I wouldn’t want to be a burden with student debt when they should be worrying about themselves and their own well being. They both worked really hard for me when they were younger, securing the opportunity to move from the Philippines to the United States, and getting this scholarship would help me return the favor.
I would use the $1,000 scholarship to help my family pay for my education and work toward my dream of studying political science. This money will help me achieve this passion.

If I earned the $1,000 from this scholarship, I’d use it to either cover the cost for Project Uplift Plus (if I get accepted later this week, fingers crossed) or to cover application costs for when I begin applying to colleges next fall. I would be eternally grateful, but I also wish the best for all other applicants! Good luck!!
I would use this scholarship to help cover the cost of my fall courses, as I am currently completing prerequisites for the Radiation Therapy program. Although this path is both mentally demanding and a financially challenging career choice, I believe it will lead to a rewarding and impactful job, where I can make a difference in people’s lives.
