DD2’s BD was March 20th, and she traveled from her home in Orlando to DC with a friend for a long weekend March 19 evening flight and back Monday or Tuesday evening. She got through TSA easily both ways, but allowed for a little more time in DC.
No need to be annoyed being a little early, although when traveling with children, one doesn’t want to add travel time when not necessary to avoid meltdowns. One doesn’t want to miss flights due to not allowing enough time.
This DD is the family expert on Disney World, having lived in Orlando since Summer 2021, and an annual passholder. Last year she even had pictures to re-enact some of the scenes from her first time there as a 7 year-old. Poised with Pluto again. It doesn’t get old for her.
