Your idea is fine. I was going to suggest if you could find the same thing elsewhere you could have sent from there, but if you don’t know the address it makes it complicated.
Thanks! It is a unique to Nordstrom item, unfortunately. I would have bought it elsewhere if it was available…
I think he took to turn-taking more readily because he has an older sibling. So they take turns a lot.
Awaiting grandchild #3, due date is today.
Came on to say that my 3rd grandson was born on Tuesday! First child for S and DIL. Everyone happy and healthy.
And to brag just a little bit about this gift I’m bringing them when we head north to meet him tomorrow! I’ve been working on it since January and got it done in the knick of time! (I’m kind of proud of it, I haven’t done a cross stitch in probably 20 years! )
Congratulations @JustaMom5465 ! And that cross stitch is adorable.
Congratulations, @JustaMom5465! Enjoy your visit and your snuggles!.
I just love that cross stitch!
Prayers for a safe delivery and healthy baby and mom, @mom60.
If anyone needs a new car seat, Target is running an offer now (I think through this weekend) of a 20% off coupon on a new car seat when you turn in an old car seat or base. The old one doesn’t have to be in usable condition because it will be recycled. The coupon can be used twice and can be applied to car seats already on sale.
Congratulations! The needlepoint is beautiful and I’m impressed. I used to sew and I can embroider but I can’t needlepoint, cross stitch or knit or crochet.
3 YO grandson (her turns 4 early July) was pulling his older sister’s hair repeatedly in the car (their car seats are next to each other, she turns 5 on Tuesday). After 3X, his mom said when we stop, he is going to get spanked. He wanted Nana to spank him (figuring I would be ‘softer’ on him) but mom insisted on her discipline. The kids are pretty well behaved. They have a 20 month old brother who really takes to me - I think it is because he gets a lot of attention from me. He has a baby sister due in June.
We were on an out of state wedding together, and I go babysit the kids for a few days (they live 100 miles from us). We are ‘in the groove’.
I babysat my 2 year old granddaughter from Thursday to Sunday. The nanny was there Thursday and Friday. D2 was supposed to help out on Saturday, but bailed on me because of work. I was stuck indoor with GD by myself for 2 days because of the weather. That little girl did me in. I am so tired now that I can’t even move. Now I know why people shouldn’t have babies after a certain age. We had a good time. She gave me a lot of hugs and kisses.
I was stuck with 2 7year old active twin boys this weekend holed up because of nonstop rain. Their soccer and baseball games were canceled too. Their parents are in Miami, plane delayed by 5 hours so they will be home after I go to bed. Looking forward to going back to my apartment tomorrow morning! I took the boys out to dinner last night and a movie this afternoon as all the trampoline parks nearby were booked up. I am exhausted!
My D and S don’t spank their kids. I told them one little whack would have saved a hundred words!
I think many parents don’t spank. I know my youngest hates when her sister-in-law spanks her kids so I don’t see her using spanking as a punishment for her daughter.
There were some pretty funny moments with GD.
She wanted me to do something and I said, “I can’t do it right now because my back hurts.”
A bit later, I asked her to clean up, she said, “my back hurts.”
She didn’t want to do something I asked her to do, I said, “ Popo is sad.”
She got behind me and started to massage my shoulders with her little tiny hands. She said, “ PoPo happy?”
It was hard to stay mad at her.
Want to ask grandparents here…over the weekend I noticed GD was itching her body (not her legs). There seems to be a red rash or scab on her skin. She didn’t have a fever, so not a virus. Imwonder if it is dry skin or maybe allergy. D have you used any cream on toddlers to calm down the itch. They most likely will talk to their doctor today. I just feel bad about the itch.
It might be eczema, which my GD has. They use Eucerin all over her body every night before bed.
Why Eucerin in particular?
My daughter had a dry skin condition (I don’t remember the name) when she was young, and the dermatologist recommended Eucerin as well.
Our GD’s doctor recommended Aveeno Baby Eczema cream for her rashes and the Aveeno Baby Eczema lotion for routine use. She responds well to both, but insists on applying some herself which gets messy unless she lets me put just a little on her hand (she tried to scoop out half the jar the first time we used it.)
