The Hill School vs Loomis Chaffe

These are the two schools that my daughter has been accepted into. We are having a tough time w deciding which one to go to.
The Hill was much more warm at both the student and faculty level. Loomis is rated higher academically but the PreVisit was horrible- the student host was a mean girl and she actually abandoned the guest during lunch!!!
Can anyone please give us more input on these two schools.

If you felt comfortable and happy at Hill, there’s your answer!

I’m not sure what “ratings” you are using, but these are a marketing tool only. They depend on what’s measured. It could be selectivity, in which case, it’s also geography because most BS studentsprefer alternatives within a few hours of home AND BS is more commonin certain regions. It could be college matriculations to a certain college, but if there are a lotof fac brats or an exceptional sports program that that college has at one but not the other (and you are neither a fac brat nor an athlete in that sport), it won’t matter to you. It might count AP classes when one school does IB. On some sites, it’s largely crowd-sourced, so it depends on who responds. And there aren’t a lot of people who have personal experience with several schools. Which is all to say, ignore rankings. Only YOUR ranking matters.

These are both very good schools, but the one where you feel like you’re “home” is better for you.

My son is a 5th form (junior) at Hill and he has been very happy there. Feel free to PM me if you have questions  Congratulations on having two great choices!
