Got a ton of paint samples. Not really a ton, but a few different shades from BM and SW stores for the house. So far, the front runner is the shade called Festoon Aqua. We both like the color, but I am not really thrilled with the name. I believe that the name carries into the object’s properties. For this reason alone, I am inclined to look further.
I have a friend who painted his house “laughing peach” and almost didn’t because of the name.
We have two bathrooms painted “breaktime” which is very similar to festoon aqua and a bit lighter. Lovely shade! It just makes everything peaceful.
Laughing Peach - LOL! Mr. B would not speak to me ever if I even considered that color with that kind of name!
Just kidding. We think we might tweak that aqua color a little and make a new name for it.
BM Fantasy Blue is in that family. Imagine the possibilities!
Looked at that one! Thanks! Like the name, but it is too light for the outdoors. Our neighbors will have a cow as is, can’t imagine what kind of nasty looks we will be getting from them!
Primed the “wood” trim around the windows in and doors the garage. 2 car doors, 2 human doors, and 5 (!) windows. That is a heck of a lot of trim! The folks who built this place did not skimp on luxuries. Why does a garage need a $10k skylight and 5 windows? And 2 doors for humans to go in and out?! Egads. That is not a garage. It is a palace. I do appreciate that there is a “white friend” and a sink, so I don’t have to run back to the house when the need arises.
We are considering a wall color called “Vaporize”.
Any guesses about what color that is? No fair googling it!
Ok I miscounted. 6 windows in the garage. B-) I forgot that there was that decorative one on the front!
Vaporize should be pale blue-gray.
I am with greenwitch. Sounds like a misty morning kind of color. Sounds coastal. BM, SW, or ?
I’m guessing a slightly warmer very light gray.
I don’t think that round sink is very practical unless you can remove the whole sink. I like a big deep sink. I’ve also had a lot of splashing on the counter tops with my smaller bar sink.
You all decide on a paint color depending on the name? Gosh. I can’t even remember the name of the color we just painted our bedroom in. But I love it, so.
I think that sink is silly looking.
No, I would not pick a color because of a name, instead, I would not consider a color with a terrible or ill-fitting name.
I do remember the names of all paints, surfaces, and objects - if they had one. The DR light is Molecular, the kitchen counter is Berwyn, the carpet is Waikiki Sand.
Trim will be Snowdrift White. Still deciding if Festoon Aqua is a decent name to be associated with the house.
And the round sink… it is not just a round sink. The entire island is one large multi-compartment rotating sink. So instead of moving the faucet between your sink bowls, you rotate the food prep /wash station.
Found one on Houzz - and it is in Seattle.

ETA - check out their cooktop and other appliances! And a garage door for a window? Holy cow. The sink is the least of the crazy stuff going on there. ![]()
Wow, you guys are good.

I would not have guessed this was in the blue palette.
Nice color! Excellent choice. I am looking at similar colors for bathroom repainting. That will happen after we install a new mirror. The current one has seen better days.
That staggered cooktop is kind of neat. Why would you want two kinds of heating though?
To be different? Looks like induction and gas.
I actually don’t like it, it is too pale. It’s for the bathrooms.
I much prefer this one:

For the living room walls we are thinking of this:
