[Bulls-eye Red](Front Door 5 | Benjamin Moore), can’t get much redder than that.
We painted our front door of House1 red the summer we paid off the mortgage. I had no idea!
I"m definitely going to check out that Bulls Eye Red, looks great on my monitor at least!
Some more red doors and paint choices:

I’ll catch up with an update soon, but since we are chatting paint, I’ll add that the Master Bath is now painted BM Horizon and I am very happy with it. I love my new closet, but we’re still not back into the bathroom (demo was 4/20). The kitchen was demoed 6/25.
Contractor is off this week, but the designer is overseeing some processes. We upgraded the electrical panel and that passed inspection today. Upcoming: There’s supposed to be work on the hardwood floors on Friday and Saturday.
We have completed most selections for the bathroom: lighting, hardware, faucets, towel rods, etc. all that remains is the glass shower door.
We are also looking at paint colors for most of the house and also chose new door hardware for all main and second floor doors.
Current goal is for the project to be done by August 10.
Sounds like some good progress.
That date seems aggressive considering how much work you are doing, but I hope it happens!
Should be doable. Our countertops were installed in one day, appliances and plumbing for sinks and faucets - in two days (Mr. B). If all players involved coordinate their efforts, it can be doable. Especially if the demo has been already done!
Our next project (not doing it ourselves, lol) is to change all doors and trim on the upper floor of house. The current doors are pitiful. Back in their prime, they were top of the line, cream of the crop doors. Really heavy and thick, plain, grainy oak veneered doors. We are replacing them with white two-panel doors and adding white trim. The doors have been ordered and should be here in late July - early August.
Can you sell the old doors? Maybe they can be re-purposed into tables or something.
I doubt even our Habitat store would want them. Habitat here is quite picky. These doors weigh close to 100 lb apiece, so it would cost us about $150 to take them to the dump, not counting our labor.
Bonfire.
I like that idea. B-) We just boringly agreed that the door contractors will take them. The sales guy who gave us the quote underestimated the effort it would take to get the suckers out of the house. The guy who came in to do measurements just sighed. Lol.
@BunsenBurner, if they are solid wood doors HfH ReStore will take them. They just took a solid wood door we had in the basement, along with a mahogany bedroom set. Where I am they offer pick-up. You should, at least, ask. I had to fill out an online request. They got back to me ASAP and specifically said they only take solid wood doors.
Thanks, Emily. I think these doors have some sort of engineered cores surrounded by wood and veneers as they weigh a fortune (we took one off - the two of us could barely handle it, and we are not weaklings
). We’ll let the installers exercise their muscle.
Laughing my you know what off!!!
"“Hi! I’m Cassie the Bunny Rabbit. I lived here too! (I’m potty trained!),” the note said. “I’m going to be the next Cadbury Bunny.”

And more in-wall finds! ![]()
^^^ Adorable!
Lots of progress:
We’ve been insulated: https://www.■■■■■■■■■■/photos/32532343@N00/43275296531/in/dateposted-public/
The front of the house is almost done. We moved that left window about three feet to the left, so that the front of the house is symmetrical. It looks much better:

And we had a mason remove that strange left arch of the fireplace. This looks more normal now as well:
