The Hunger Games has taken my school by storm

There are at least ten kids in each of my classes reading it right now.

I just finished last night, it's so awesome <3

I honestly don't understand why ppl like the hunger series. I read the first book and wasn't impressed

I started the first one, it's actually very well written and fairly well written

IMO, the book was a dismal storytelling of a predictable plot. It's been a big hit in my high school, and I don't see why. It's even being used for Honors English reading projects. The reading level is for fifth graders, at best.

I very much enjoyed the Hunger Games and cannot wait for the movie to come out! :)

I thought it was good, it was paced well and there were enough twists to keep me entertained, although by the third book it was getting very convoluted. Then again, maybe I just liked it because I'm a sucker for post-apocalyptic fiction.

I devoured all three books in three days, though the story was dismal. I am excited to see the movie(s).

As for the "fifth grade" reading level, I'll agree it isn't a difficult read.

I read the first one and I thought it was fairly good. It could have been much better if the author hadn't gone for the "sappy" angle and stayed more with a survival/suspense type story.

seriously? that sucks, I mean, it's great, errr, whatever.
It's great that people are liking it. But I,like any true fan, am considered about it being over -popular, like a certain series that has been adapted to a movie cough twilight cough.

it's a great series, but the last was was disappointing. the first is the best, seriously. It's not the most wonderful read, but on a scale to 1-10, it's a 8. IMO. ^_^ (did anyone read the Scorpio Races by Maggie Stiefvater, man that book is good, check it out!)

It's pretty good. The last book was really aggravating, though

I loved the Hunger Games, and although it wasn't a high reading level, I think that's beside the point. Sometimes I just want to read a book that keeps me up all night is just a major page-turner, and often the more difficult books can be more boring to me. The third book was absolutely terrible though. It made me so depressed and I hated Katniss by the end.

It's required reading for every single student AND teacher at my old high school.

The first book is amazing, it's definitely up there among my favorite novels. The second one was kind of meh, and it was hard for me to follow the third one at times. I wasn't a huge fan of Mockingjay at all. Unlike most people, though, I didn't mind the ending...(Spoiler) I originally was hoping Peeta would do something heroic and sacrifice his life for Katniss and she'd end up with Gale, but I guess in a way, what Peeta was put through was similar to dying. Except he was still alive and stuff.

Anyway, I'm really excited to see the movies. The trailer for the first one looks awesome.

mockingjay was so depressing.
Collins made Gayle a player, a ladies man at the end. ***. and prim blew up. that was just wrong. i was so shocked I couldn't even cry.
i'm so excited for the movie. it looks promising. :)

I can't enjoy fantasy/science fiction novels :(

TheJuanSoto, Hunger Games is Dystopian.......

I was pretty disappointed with the first book, so I'm probably not going to read the other two. It had the flattest, most boring characters ever. What does Peeta do besides be stupidly in love with Katniss? Katniss herself is hardly a fascinating character. The world is decent enough and the plot is a page turner, but it just lacks any characters to relate to.

I read it in middle school for a language arts project and I liked it. I guess not enough to bother with the sequels though.

I finished the first book. It's really easy to read and can't wait for the movie

I loved them! I was super disappointed that it was only a trilogy though because I wanted to read more! I'm kind of a hopeless romantic though, which is probably the biggest reason why I liked them. It was like a better written Twilight hahahh
