She is a theatre major (BFA) and some of these programs weight the portfolio, interview and ECs very highly, so this may be of minimal use to some of you, but grades are not always everything!
I’m glad I found this thread! I am literally freaking out as the end of the semester approaches. I got straight A’s freshman year. My sophomore year was horrible. This year, my junior year, I am going to have all A’s and one B. I want to show colleges that I improved but a B in Pre-AP Chem…idk
DS Level 5 32/33(superscore) ACT… Accepted ED Colgate, EA to LMU, Indiana (kelley), SDSU, Santa Clara, Villanova and Fordham. Several w/ merit! Stay positive!
DS level 5, 25 ACT super score, decent rigor. strong EC’s, some leadership. Although personally I think level 5 should be 3.5-3.7 as the 3.3.5 mark is an admissions and merit marker. So he’s a high 4 low 5 lol.
Accepted EA so far: Western Washington University, University of Vermont, Ithaca College, Ursinus. All with merit. Still waiting on Allegheny, Goucher and University of Puget Sound.
DONT stress the B in that class!! That’s still a good grade, and should definitely not significantly HURT you in any way shape or form in the process! See if you can maybe somehow retake a class from your sophomore year that was sort of iffy?? Best of luck, you’ll do fine! @aspiringgirl
Look at the class of 3017 3.0-3.4 thread. Look for schools that have kids in the low 3’s and chances are that while they may be a reach for high 2’s they many be worth looking at.
How important is your rank in your class? The 2016 class had 41 Valedictorians (4.0 GPA + 25+ ACT) out of 175 students. So I will rank most likely bottom 25% of my class. Will this affect my chances?
