Its just 22 degrees here
Enjoy the heat guys…

haha, have fun Mrinal! I still have half a month to go before I leave for Stanford
How do you like Brown’s campus? It’s a little difficult for us to get a good feel of campuses sitting in India. So tell us all about it!

@Mrinal i feel very jealous from you ;\ its almost boiling out here, anyways hows the experience over there? How is the Brown campus and its dorms?

Yeah, and if other people who visited/studied there before, or are going to go, could tell us who are here more about the various university campuses, it could help. :)

I’ve only visited Stanford, UC-Berkeley, UCSD, UCSF, and Caltech. :)

Umm, anvesh, that is not ‘only’
Brown is awesome. The campus is very beautiful and we spend most of our times with the friends and roaming around downtown Providence. The guys here are great and the RAs too.
Coming to the academic side of things, people here mostly talk about the open curriculum and the freedom of choice. The dorms are good and quite spacious.
If anyone gets into Brown, you will be very happy here unless you have choices like UCB and the likes.

^ I see what you did there ;)

Lol, but not a lot compared to other people who live in the US. I have a friend who spent a whole summer going around colleges around America, like 50 of them. Currently in Rice.

Haha, sure. ;)

That must be such a great experience, I hope I am in the Top 18 for the UChic competition so I can also visit a Uni.

It must feel so good to be there,Mrinal!

Anvesh, which campus did you like best out of those five? :)

STANFORD HANDS DOWN.!

It has the best atmosphere, and is peaceful and quiet. The football games are a craze though, been to a few of those!

^true that.
Stanford has like HUGE campus. actually its wayyy too huge!
was checking it our when i applied for EPGY.
didnt actually got the opportunity to actually visit it! :

@anvesh95: temme more about UCSD? i am interested in that college.

LOL @tizils " i knw what you did there! " to mrinals “brown, unless you get into UCB!”
LOL xD

@anvesh have you sseen there dorms?
I wanna see harvard and standford dorms… I have hearrd harvard has very dorms… I wonder how is standford

Sent from my U20i using CC

Oh I can’t wait to be there! And how about CalTech? I love love love that school. But, obviously, its crazy selective. How’s its campus?

Hahaha, yeah it does. Has a huge hospital and everything. :)

UCSD? I was there for like a couple hours when visiting an uncle who lived in San Diego. Not sure if it counts as visiting in your book, but it does in mine! xP

The campus was pretty neat. The food was pretty good, I admit. San Diego is a great city to be in, I love being there :)

^ The following was on UCSD’s acceptance packet in the form of an iPhone conversation:

S1: Hey want to catch some waves after class?
S2: Sure, be there in 10. Bring along that cute girl in your dorm.
S1: Only if you bring along that girl across your hall
S2: Deal, this will be fun.

I paraphrased. Only slightly. Made me want to go there to be honest. In the end, I did end up at a school with partly the same name: University of California.

But yes, some of the res halls are right next to the beach.

Stanford has a campus of 8018 acres. idream, if you manage to see all of the Stanford Campus, I will bow down to you
The only thing which made me apply to Summer@brown is that I missed the EPGY deadline even though I had completed the app packet.

@rew: Haha, lol :D

Back from my haitus :-D

I visited Stanford and Berkely both and by visited I mean with the proper tour etc.
Stanford campus beats berkely in terms of the atmosphere. Very peaceful and calm.
Also gives your feet blisters: learn to ride a bicycle or skateboard.

Berkeley has a very lively campus, lots going on.
Not to mention right opposite is a whole street of food and food and more food :D

San Diego looked rather like a ghetto when I went, but UCSD was decent.

I didn’t really like the Stanford campus, looked like a bunch of houses next to each other. Plus I don’t really like Spanish architecture.
