Finally, using my own account.
How many people are applying for FA ? I am not.

*raises hands at norths question"
yes, i do.
not exactly at shelter, but zoo actually
but that was like i was made the parole officer for the city zoo (because we won this competition organized by the zoo authorities)
but all we did was just stop people from littering and spreading awareness (This was in like class 9?!) . we were never allowed to enter the cages (even if i really wanted to feed the tigers :P)

Haha mineral sure you are :P

I am. Not sure if I am
@rew.tiger would’ve eaten you.
I think they made a clever choice.

North: Here, seriously ?

I am. I don’t know whether I will qualify for compete aid or what, I might for the first year just.

Why do Stanford and Princeton have to be such snobs? -.-
Anyways, I’m probably not gonna apply to ivys and stanford (and others where I don’t stand a chance), so

Mrinal, idk about FA, I need to talk to my parents…

And if Tiz’s and Mrinal’s plan was to confuse, they have succeeded :p

Dude, you stand a 7% chance at Stanford if you apply. If you don’t, you have no chance. So, just apply regardless of the decision and enjoy high school while it lasts. Everything will work out in the end. :)

Oh, and Stanford is not a snob
Do not talk ill of Stanford till end of time ;)

I second mrinal (sorry spelling error earlier ;))
Do NOT speak Ill about Stanford.
Its greatness is unparalleled.

Arre! Don’t you get what I mean? :p

Okay, snob was the wrong word to choose
Stanford was my dream school once too :p

And Mrinal, yeah, I get your point :p

Damn, too many "
" :P

@slayzaz so if not ivy and stan , where do you plan to apply?

Sent from my U20i using CC

@Crystal, I like UCB and few others too, but I was considering not applying to them because of my ridiculously low 11th grade marks, and my not-so-great profile.
But I feel what Mrinal is saying is true and I also realized that you call dream schools “dream” for a reason
So now I need to sort this stuff out
I’m considering UIUC, Georgia Tech, Purdue, Penn State and few more

oh okay, wish you luck! and you shoud not judge yourself, let the adcom’s choose where you fit…

Thanks
Yeah
Time to make some college lists :p

Confusion galore. We should have continued it on but oh well.

I mean seriously, who has a TREE for their mascot?
Lol. Wood. HAHAHAHA :D

You know bears scratch trees.

All this school pride is an induction due to peer pressure from people on facebook groups.

Anyway, I’ll agree with everyone else slayzaz. However, don’t apply to Stanford just for the sake of having a 7% chance of admittance. Apply there only if you truly want to and see the possibility of going there if you get in. Also, that 7% is very skewed. Most schools admit a very large percentage of the freshman incoming class in the EA rounds and so the RD rounds are a bloodbath of rejections. Just saying. EA is much better if only for the lack of clones.

So your saying that applying EA can increase our chances by a lot?

Anvesh. It is true.
You actually hve better chance in EA, but then you’ll be competing against the best of the best, the Creme of the soup. Many have the hooks such as athletic recruits, URMs, legacy etc, apart from having great scores, essays and ECs!

Hahahahahahahahha. Pwnage.

I like Stanford A LOT, but I’m extremely doubtful about the possibility of getting accepted part.

One question, normally what percentage of EA applicants (across various schools) are deferred to RD?

URMs? Meaning?
