Your 10th board marks look quite good for the ivies. For the 11th Grade thingy, we all have a weak spot there so no need to worry about them.</p>
<p>JawBone, almost same about the school grades. 10 CGPA in 10th and low marks in 11th (In a class where only 4 boys pass) :D</p>

<p>Hey guys, I’m currently class 12 CBSE. My profile is fairly okay, except my marks in class 11; 9.8 CGPA in class 10, and a national level athlete. I’ll be giving the SAT on June 1st and I’m pretty confident about it. I plan to give the Subject tests in October. </p>
<p>I’m mainly aspiring to go Georgia Tech to major in Applied Physics.
I’d like to know what my chances are, where I stand, and what possible steps I could take which would help me.

<p>@wingedreturn You’ve chosen an awesome college… NATIONAL level athlete? Well you’ve got yourself a treat there… You don’t need to do much… Score well in the 12th first term, a score of 2000 or more in SATs and you are through.
Although, you might wanna check the Georgia Tech forum. </p>

<p>Nice. Kind of similar to you, actually, except that I’m in the eleventh, and i haven’t taken an APs. But I’m a US citizen, so I guess that counts 
And my eleventh grade is going Terrible so far: just passing in everything. Though I did get 93 in tenth boards. ISC. </p>
<p>And I took the SAT in May, but I felt I could do better so I’m taking it again this June. Also km taking the ACT this June. And probably I’ll take subject tests in October. </p>
<p>I haven’t really done any community service, but I have a bit of EC. I’ve done a lot in music, my band got first place in a interschool competition, and I’m in the basketball team and we’ve won a few competitions. </p>

<p>IISc is excellent- that is, if you get into it. IF given a choice between IISc and any BS in the US, I would definitely go for IISc- it’s my dream college. There are so many pros to it- located in India, low fees, excellent courses- you get a choice in the first year for your major (just like the US)
but again, it is a bit tough to get into it. You have to have KVPY or amazing marks in JEE main. board marks don’t matter there.say, even if you get a 96 in the boards, you arent guaranteed admission into IISc.</p>

Critical Reading 560 71%
Math 660 87%
Writing 630 88%
Multiple Choice 64 (score range: 20-80)<br>
Essay 8 (score range: 2-12) </p>
<p>I’m not too happy at all. I know it’s not a terrible score, and I can still get in places, but yeah. I really wanted above 2k (who doesn’t? :P)</p>
<p>Anyways, previously I registered for this June’s test too (I won’t get time later on). I hope I do better this time. :(</p>
