aite… …

ahem… those calculations are pretty wrong.

First of all if you coop then you cant take classes that semester coz you won’t be on campus, and even if you are close by you will working 6-8 hrs a day. Which means if you coop you cannot graduate in 3 years.

And you CANNOT MAKE 8K a year.

8K a year = working 20hrs a week (which is the max) and implies that you make $11/hr which is very rare.

dude i know ppl making 60k/hr… so well its all on ur luck … but anyways those calculations are based on a lot of IFs…its with the best circumstances in mind… n yeah 8k has been calculated for 3 yrs… so the time spent on co-ops is approximately cut…

“Which means if you coop you cannot graduate in 3 years”
who wants to graduate in 3 years?

interesting …

Lol i want that job

hehe but still even $60/hr is quite a lot…so can’t you easily get a job giving you $2K/$3K per month under co-op?? i guess anything less than that would hardly leave us with any savings since we have to live off-campus…

Ppl with good computer skills can earn about 17$ per hr thru some PT jobs at UPenn…

“hehe but still even $60/hr is quite a lot…so can’t you easily get a job giving you $2K/$3K per month under co-op?? i guess anything less than that would hardly leave us with any savings since we have to live off-campus…”

its abt 4k[variable depending on the company that picks u depending on ur gpa…] per co-op after calculating food, rent etc.

i hope u guys plan to get some studying done in between all those jobs.

yeah. Good point Sachit. :D

btw hello: isn’t your location. Duke Durham as of now.

yea…if u guys take up co-ops ur gonna have to work extra hard to get ur diploma in 3 years…however, u will still have to pay for 4 years of living expenses…3years in school + 1 year co-op…so i’m thinkin that the MIN. cost per year would be around 30-32 gran P.A. (inclusive of travel expenses, allowance…etc)…anyways…good luck wid that…

peace,

-tj

yeah really ‘good luck’ with that… Since pretty much all of it is based on Luck.

Who all will apply to IUB??

I can’t really decide even now…Most probably i wont.

wat kinda stats do u need to get into IUB?like minimum satscore needed, high school record…

vampiro were u sarcastic with the ‘Luck’ thing or were u serious?

Merc told me that 1400 of Old SAT would be safe…

well…after seeing student profiles I wont call the SAT scores to be 1400 safe I would say anything over 1300 would be safe +like one 700ish and one high 600 on SAT II could get u in. But if you like have zero or minimal EC’s then you might have to push a little hard on the SAT.

Taj I was sarcastic…Since those calculations were based on ideal situations…and as no one is taking that into serious consideration we might as well drop it now.

well good to know that u were being sarcastic…well, the thread seems dead again…
