<p>vampiro … U R right.No fin aid from Austin. But have a good chance at A&M I hope so. I did not go for any EA/ED. I was asked at rice to change my regular app to ID and I accepted it.
My other universities are NUS and NTU …S’Pore</p>

<p>smartmind…my choices were based on the advise I had this past summer from my advisor at stanford (went there for my high school summer -earned 15 credits)</p>

<p>smartmind…U got it right. I guess my calculated risk at rice and stanford pays off.Rice results are due this 10th.
As for my essays I had pretty decent ones about my travel and J Krishnamoorthys influence on my beliefs.My other EC are pretty much state specific mostly in science.I have a patent to my credit for a chalk piece holder I designed for the school expo.It got the state govt creativity award.Our president (my inspiration)gave a special momento for the design(my schools effort).I had somet thing to talk about my tsunami relief work too.Wish Rice can relate to katrina.HAd a lot of school initiated volunteer exp.</p>
<p>dude…r u crazy why’d you not apply to aid at MIT and Harvard…they are purely needblind coz last year the only two indians at harvard and the only three indians accepted at MIT got full financial aid…so its obvious these schools dont focus on finaid every indian accepted gets aid…too bad u just missed out on that…u just wasted your 200000$$ if u get in…</p>

<p>smartmind …It was a calculated risk.It may sound foolish not to apply for fin aid at MIT/harvard.I wanted my ISFAA to be clean of these two univ.That would put my other apps in the right perspective.This also meant that I was kind of 50:50 on my chances with these two.So my main choices are the rest.
I now am focussed on my jEE.If i succeed I would wind up my US UG thoughts ! thats how I want it to be.</p>
<p>these two Univs have ur IFSAA done at a place not even located or touched by admissions. … admissions is done without finaid decision even iif u are missing on finaid docs u wil be considered. full</p>
