<p>Shoaib came and played a match against my current school cricket 1st XI a few years ago. He was playing for some team that invites a few internationals(past and present) to tour counties and public schools in the UK.
He first bowled with his normal run-up and the ball could not be touched by any batsman. He then started bowling with a run-up of a few steps, which was still far too difficult to face. He eventually resorted to telling the batsman where he would pitch the next ball. The batsmen then were able to touch the ball a few times.
He bowls so fast that when he puts it in the right areas, not even the best batsmen in the world can do much…but he does not do that often enough. Can’t forget that match in Calcutta when he bowled Sachin and Dravid off 2 consecutive yorkers. </p>
