<p>Besides, if this is true, even though the letter may be original, there is a possibility that he couldda lied to MIT!</p>
<p>A letter to IIT would actually solve the problem. But I doubt they’d release info.</p>

As far as I am concerned, I have clarified the things to a great degree to some of the people yesterday. And it seems that the copies of it have reached even to others, which I had not wished to.</p>
<p>Since, I do not have any obligation to anyone to prove my point, except to the AdComms, I do not wish to divulge any further personal information on a public forum. I believe that I have already told a lot more than what I am supposed to about myself to a few known and trusted people.</p>
<p>I have clearly stated the case in all my applications and depending on the space provided have provided details upto 500 words on issues and things, esp including the one in question here.</p>
<p>Nevertheless, I do not have anything to prove or disprove on a public forum by telling everything about me to prove my innocence. If the AdComms ask for any details and clarifications, I will provide them with the same. </p>

<p>OK… we need to end this… maybe Shabin is telling the truth , maybe not ---- (his email is quite controversial as far as I’m concerned!) ---- is somebody has concrete evidence, he/she should present it immediately to the univs… otherwise no point blowing the issue out of proportions… </p>

<p>I feel that whatever the issue is there are sum areas where the stuff is beyond explanations. . well after going through all presented evidence from shabin’s side as well as sum solid materials i got from otherwise… i have the following conclusions to make…</p>

[<em>] There are prep courses at IIt for the Sc/St people yes and they serve as an extra to people. But here too there is an optional agreement on admission to main course provided there is a satisfactory completion.
[</em>] Shabin may have yesdone a prep course but the civil eng course we are talkin abtis a CORE Subject course which i dont see wud be otherwise available to prep ones…</p>
<p>[li]the almuni listing and all past documents suggest shabin has left school 2 yrs ago , which by all means is normal UNLESS ( think yourself)</p>[/li]
<p>[li] Though the course is not meant to be a degree course or a diploma course but nevertheless the course contents being for a full 1 yr term period and well the subject matter being deep can be utilized in US univs to gain a transfer admission as they do have provisions for the same. </p>[/li]
<p>[li] technically if what shabin says is correct then he has undertook the prep course at IIT and well as per other relevant data and claims done some research at IIT bombay also. Having done all this at The IIT he is applying still as a freshman because og incoherence of INdian and US credit system …</p>[/li]
<p>[li]As of prep courses and grading it was all done in year 2004 but last year data is still missing as to what and where shabin what and what stuff… which raises further speculations… </p>[/li]

<p>this page contains the course content for the IITbtech course . Now the grading page we saw was made in year 2005 which is suspectable as course was taken in year 2004 . Now the course taken was ce215 … see this page which lists that CE215 is a SECOND YEAR-First Semester course for core BTECH engineering students …**Also as per the chart this course is worth 5 credit points for degree requirement…</p>

<p>being an outsider it’s none of my business, but don’t you guys think u’re gettin too worked up about this? i’m not advocating lying to admissions, of course. but if he is indeed lying, i’m sure he’ll pay for it in some big way later on. he says he’s explained his situation to the adcoms… good enough, since he could have his own reasons for doing what he is doing.</p>
<p>i don’t think attackin someone based on what you know about him through a public forum is very wise. … but again, maybe all you people have other basis that i’m unaware of. </p>

Yeah i would also like to know why…i mean there shouldn’t be any problem in clearing stuff. And in case you havent noticed the evidence found still would make believe a normal person that in usual course of events he is an IIT’ian unless there is some biiiig story behind it…</p>

<p>well i did al those searching for reasons other than the stupid ones ppl here cited like " Having risk on their own seat or sumthing… " Lods of ppl do wrong here … and no need to pointy to any one… there aint only one seat available for admission and well… no point being ridiculously mad … the facts are out for whatever they are… and let us continue with our lives… it doesnt affect our apps that much anyways…and i dont care what others do for them… </p>
