<p>well…so this year also it seems kinda round 4 ppl admitted…3 already known and i assume 1 would still be there lurking in dark for us…but we wud know in a couple of days…</p>
<p>Though well as usual , stats never made the cut and the final call wasnt based on any big numbers… All went beyond to extrraordinary levels to find the best possible people …</p>
<p>DPS rkp is sure going gr8 with admissions ofcourse…gappies in MIT frm india is cool</p>
<p>the season is still ripe for us to be here… and well the final blow is to be made on the 31st when IVY unrolls… so BEST OF LUCK,</p>
<p>and dude when ppl say they expected to get into wustl…they cant be more wrong…coz thats one school which despite high admissions and low stats… still is the most unpredictable crazy admission school ever…</p>

<p>Hi guys, this is my first post on cc. I also got rejected at mit… too bad but i just wanted to give some info on prannay, the guy who got into mit. </p>
<p>He’s from my school- Birla Vidya Niketan. Full name- Prannay Budhraja. He’s a really intelligent guy, but what definitely worked in his favour was the fact that he got to the training camp for the International Astronomy Olympiad… he was among 20 odd other students. </p>
<p>Apart from that, hes a computer whiz… recently won the first prize in a national level competition in chennai. And I heard his interview was really great. the lady was quite impressed by him and said she would make every effort to make sure he got accepted!</p>
<p>So basically, no surprise that he got in and i must say… if anyone deserved to get into mit, it was him.</p>

<p>sid88 some remarks on what you just said… the guy u mentioned was gr8 as already attestd by the admission to MIT…but the fact that u testify over other’s capabilities is not fair…</p>
<p>He may have been deserving of a place of admission but you just dont know the sheer quality of applicants from india… an international olympiad alone cant at all get anyone a much coveted MIT acceptance… and there are more than plenty of ppl from india who had KYPS, NTSE, ,Nat. Olypiad and International Olympiad as well… yet they got rejected…You may not have the exact idea of the applicant pool and the fact that you have seen the best as in your friend pranay just proves he is gud not certainly the best ( no offence when i say this)</p>
<p>There are some exceptional kids around who have done thier best and really proven their mettle to international standards … and have got rejected … so well to say most deserving of them all by any layman based upon our narrow comprehension is far toooo wrong… we arent ben and should refrain from it too…Since as already mentioned you are new to CC i would thus suggest you go around to see some of the extraoridnary profile on the forum that have been displayed…and then reexamine the statement that you have made…</p>

<p>Well since we already know the three applicant from India who got accepted ,…so is it safe to say the RSI candidates were rejected???</p>
<p>Coz these 3 didnt have RSI and those who did must have applied( i remember that someone did say that 2 of them were in this year’s pool)</p>
