Tell me that when you can make a list of IIT alumni half as long as this one (let’s not even talk about diversity) - <a href=“http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_Stanford_University_people[/url]”>http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_Stanford_University_people&lt;/a&gt;. To pick out a few from that list:</p>

<p>Vinton Cerf - TCP/IP
Ronald Rivest - RSA encryption
Sergey Brin - Google
David Filo - Yahoo
Ray Dolby - Dolby
Bill Hewlett - HP
David Packard - HP
Larry Page - Google
Jerry Yang - Yahoo
Vinod Khosla - Sun Microsystems, which originally stood for Stanford University Network (clearly, he shouldn’t have gone to Stanford, because the IIT brand is so much better…)
Azim Premji - Wipro</p>

<p>In this list, Vinod Khosla is the only one with an MBA from Stanford. The rest of them all have B.S.\M.S.\Ph.D (not bulll**** as you would like to think but Bachelor of Science) degrees from Stanford.</p>

<p>And then there’s a list of about 15-20 astronauts who graduated from Stanford…but clearly they are idiots because they didn’t/couldn’t/can’t get into IIT, and only reached where they are because of their parents’ $$$. Yeah, right…</p>

<p>Seriously, dude, put your money where your mouth is and turn down Cornell, and then, maybe, we’ll talk.</p>

<p>ASP … I had the opportunity of talking with the one of the deans of IIT at a private function recently.(no boasting intended pl)
To quote him " JEE has been highjacked systematically by the coaching institutes.This years JEE will free it from their clutches" HE also said “we get very hard working students but we notice a decline in their communication ability year after year” They intent to correct this too with their comprehensive section in physics and chemistry this year.
He also commented 78 students from ANNA university(college of engineering GUINDY) had offers more than a lakh pm- more than many IITS for this year!
In short he said recruiters are now looking at not just hard working people but CREATIVE ONES.which is what IITS lack because their admission process is so one dimensional …academics… academics … and only academics.If you ever read MITs blogs on the admission status of its deans daughter you will not laugh over your dinner.</p>

<p>I demand that u quit whatever you are(attitudinally) or someone -some day will make you learn it the hard way.Help yourself buddy.</p>

<p>finally got an email from stanford!!..we will be recieving our decisions on the same application login page…</p>

<p>and ASP i think you’ll make an excellent candidate for a dean’s position in IIT because you love it so much…no one here finds JEE “beautiful” and heck no one here can even think of “weeping” over that fact!!</p>

<p>hehehehee my god … i cant believe this… one day and so so so many ppl voiced their straight opinions on ASP… whoa…welll let him do whatever he wants outa his life and his seat . and his future… </p>

<p>seems like all have made a consensus for ASP to leave cornell but wel i fear we will never see that day when he does … as of saatvik… dude… if u saw… he did a simillar thing with MIT too and aftre being brought down went up to stanford … and now brought down on it too…hehe</p>

<p>anyways now its only 14 hrs left for the fate to be sealed… and well the stanford decisions are gonna be 1st april for us then… bad bad …</p>

someone said MIT is abt Research and IIT is about academics…
Okay wise guy…so what the hek does science mean to you anyway…i mean can anyone explain what exactly academics means if u are not putting it to any use…idiotic statement really.</p>

<p>well i have 3 acceptances… 2 rejections… 1 waitlist … and of which i cant go to the 3 acceptances…so virtually bad for me that way…</p>
