people who submitted the SOLAR (premanjali, neha(?)), did it seem to you that whoever worded the e-mail tried to be a little dramatic…?

Viggy, did it ever occur to you to send me an email,a PM or even post on CC if u wanted to meet me??

talk abt common sense :p

Luckily, i have already met 3 ccers and hopefully i’ll catch others in us :)

SOLAR is singapore’s application for an entry visa for students (basically)

hehe…shashank…it never really occured ot me whethr the person WAS being dramatic(abt the SOLAR mail)…will take a second look to it…hehe

vampiro, i am going nus…if u take up the subsidised tuition fee, u gotta work in singapore any sg registered company for 3 yrs…

shashank: i did apply thru SOLAR since i am also regarded as an intel student but i did not receive any email regarding it, the letter came in my admission package… :)

Laila arent you in Al Ain?

She’s in dubai half the time…

Ok guys, can someone convince me if it’s possible to repay a €16,500 loan ($21k = Rs 9.1 lac) in 7 years at 7.75% interest? If yes, how?

prashant, wen does the repayment time start…is it like once you have finished graduating then the 7 yrs start and also is the loan interest free during your study period?and how long is your study period as in the course?

Ok, the repayment starts 3 months after I’ve graduated.
Interest is calculated even while I’m studying.
Study period is 3 years.
I will have to start repayment even if I go on to graduate studies.

merc- will the interest be compounded or is it simple? (im guessing its compounded, it usually is) but just clarifying…

i think it may be simple for the course duration, compounded later…

you can repay it comfortably (i think) if you ditch grad school and take up a 9-5 job in an IT company or something like that…

EDIT : althiugh its called a 9-5 job, be prepared for over 12 hrs a day…

I think compounded.
I’m worried about grad school :frowning:
Have to convice dad actually. Anyway…

well…the thign is u got to bunk grad skool for about 3yrs…and work n repay n then get bak to studies again…thats the only way…but plz do verify how godo the job market is after the 3yrs corse from the respective college…coz 614euros per month is abig deal if job isnt good enuff!!

Hey guys I needed some info regarding the apps fee waiver.
Look most colleges do sound pretty cool with it but are they really down with it easily or can it have a negative effect on one’s application.

vampiro - no effect I guess.

doesnt matter
