The Indian Thread (TiT) # 14

ur right illbeback…ive heard from many ppl that its kinda stupid to go to america and then come back to do job in india…cuz indian companies higher more of indian ppl…unless u r coming back from sumthin like MIT or Caltech!!!

Hi people,
Can anyone tell me whether the December test scores reach the admission’s office (for RD) in time.

and does anyone know abt the dates MEgadeth hits India.

ft - i agree that if an indian firm (or even an MNC operating in India) were to look for an engineering graduate - they would prefer engineering students from India.

i was thinking more from a business/specialized fields. there arent as many undergraduate biz programs that’d allow students to also take technical classes that US insitutions would. Also, in terms of specialized fields, i think US students would have an edge. for eg. financial engineering  even my friends doing mba at jb or doing their ca, only have vague idea about black-scholes model. now if any of the large investment houses want to structure an Indian default swap, i think that a financial engineer from the US is a better candidate than indian engineer/business kid…ofcourse, i could be wrong…but who knows…

they do. .

MEGADETH in India?? When? Where?

Indians ROOOOCKKK!!!
sophmore from MS

thanks guys… i guess I’ll study in INdia for a year and then reapply if i still think I dont want to pursue economics but biomed engineering again.Or maybe I could defer my admisssion for the spring term.

india stinks

harry…3734 is the number of times ur gonna get hit on ur head by all of us if we see you anywhere 4 saying india stinks.

hahah. India’s alright. I’m Indian. I have family there. I visit often. But the lifestyle there is just so different from here in America. I have to say that India is more cultural, family-oriented, and spiritual, but I still prefer the American way.

You know how they have the classic American dream? What would be the Indian dream?

hehehe jk jk jk india is okay

i think the great indian dream is survival

aaa but if you want that kinda grandiose stuff theono pick up the great indian novel by shashi tharoor

india doesnt have a one-size-fits-all dream. everyone has their own dreams. thats the problem.

GUJU vandy dreamer… haha… guju’s rock the world!!

Merc : I think they start the tour sometime in october visiting 4 major cities (I know Delhi and Bangalore). You wont be here though (at IUB i Suppose).
