I feel insanely lagging-behind person here, that is y I was reluctant to post for a while…
Anyone read 5 point someone(and again, I am insane coz I havnt read this book either. Just heard a lot, though…)…

Lakshya – Thank heaven.

I have just discovered that illiterate typing is actually slower than trying to get everything grammatically correct and decently-spelt, which I find amusing: surely the whole point of silly chatspeak was originally to cut down on typing time? (Or can one not apply Earth logic to this sort of thing?)

(Must confess a certain appreciation for ‘2b || !2b’, though. Ah, comp. sci!)

issac – started reading it, got bored, never finished.

:D Ah text messaging; I’m a stubborn believer in using real sentences while texting; As I already habitually use latin phrases, does that make me an old fogey?

I read 5 point someone; didn’t think it lived up to the hype; a passable book, not much more.

You’re a genius. :D

k_twin – If you’re an old fogey, I probably am as well. (Heck, I capitalise. And punctuate. And hyphenate. And use appropriate spacing. As you can imagine, this isn’t much good for my phone bill!)

Lakshya – Why, thank you. I never did manage to get ‘that is the question’, though – toyed with using a conditional operator statement, but that wouldn’t work.

thought i’d pass this on:http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/showthread.php?t=302699

Disclaimer: It’s a bit vulgar…

Much the same; and what’s worse I do so for IM conversations as well! (scandalous I know)

Most of the chats saved in my Gmail account are punctuated and grammatical on both ends, and involve calculus, literature, or (bizarrely) alcohol. I’m not sure what that says about me.

Mine involve the UN (remnants from an MUN conference I attended some time back) and strange rhyme patterns (I’ve no idea how that came about)!

I never got around to chatspeak. I type faster when I’m typing in grammatically correct sentences.

Shall we say we’re all relics of another age. L & G this is Generation ____ (wait what letter are we on now?)

Y? Z? No idea. (Plus, what are they planning to do post-Z?)

Ditto for me though issac appears to be the antithesis.

Edit: Noldo, use binary?

I thought it was M for millennial; or I for Internet?

*outwitted is the current status of this thread…
Extremely aggressive, though…

W - it comes before X.

And with the antithesis and the thesis we might as well have the Socratic Method; not that I’ve any idea what that has to do with anything already in this thread :D

aarrgh, all my posts appear disconnected.

And we can put it as W X Y Z…(I guess I hav nothing to post for a while…)…
