don’t you guys ever sleep?

Oh wait, never mind

ok nvm it works haha

Woah. I don’t look at this thread for 24 hours and I have to trawl through 20+ pages of gibberish!! lol

Just to add to the people imagining they won’t get in anywhere, I was just accepted to University of Michigan - Ann Arbor. That was with my less than stellar stats, 1940, okayish EC’s, okayish Recs…you all should have no problems.

congrats inshallah,

r u an Indian citizen?

General observation: I have never understood why internationals are referred to as ‘intels’, to be honest. I keep thinking amusingly bewildered thoughts about my processor.

inshallah – it’s not gibberish! It’s serious literary discussion (if somewhat on crack and temporally distorted, yes)!

bas007 – that’s what their Common Data Set says, anyway. (Discouraging.)

dda – some of us weren’t smart enough to pick rolling schools. :/

Congratulations inshallah!

UMich is a great school. :)

Congrats, inshallah!!! :)

Aaand I can’t believe I missed out the ‘congratulations’ bit. facepalm Great job, inshallah! (Are you an American citizen, out of curiosity?)

Does anyone here regret not applying early somewhere? :(

Oh, yes. Though in my case, I couldn’t have (realistically) – MIT doesn’t let internationals apply EA, ditto UChicago and Caltech (well, internationals who want aid, anyway), Stanford SCEA is just too scary with its rejection rate, and I didn’t want to commit ED to Princeton or Cornell (neither of which are my top choices, although they’re great schools). So that’s my entire choice list down.

Yeah, I was in a similar situation. All the EA schools in my list were going to reject me anyway and among the ED schools, I didn’t want to commit to any. Now, I feel like I should’ve applied ED to CMU. Dammit!

Well I’m back from Chem (Thank the Gods we didn’t get lead :D)…

Congrats inshallah!

Just introducing myself , am currently studying my undergrad at Univ of illinois (champaign). I came from India as well Delhi to be precise , so if you guys have any questions just shoot!

PS: For all those who are applying to Gatech/UIUC/Purdue sorta deal , if you are an international student youll probably get in easy , its not hard to get into these schools being from abroad since you pay twice the money and are pretty much cash cows. Umich is probably the only public that is selective.

Thanks everyone. Oh and I’m Indian proper lol.

In which case it’s even more impressive! :)

congrats insallah! makes two tit’ers into michigan now! how did you find out, by the email they send you?

are you planning to attend next year? if so, we might just meet each other!

pinku22 - UIUC recently became kinda hard to get into, I’m a US citizen and got rejected. My freind who is international got rejected from engg with 1850.
