The Indian Thread (TiT) # 15

I could explain it. But I guess that would bore you.

Anyway, that basically means that that is the meanest, baddest, gaming machine ever.

Like they say: Pure Power

If I told you what I really want right now, you’d laugh.

I understood a lot of it. Is it Alienware? They make the best gaming PCs.

Something along the lines of Acceptance letters?

Two with return addresses to Cambridge MA will do nicely for us please. :D

Who else has the guts?

900 posts Lakshya! Congrats (Why do I notice these things? Must be the hidden number afficiando in me. :))

Woohoo!

I forgot to notice that, silly me.:D

Hehe.

My parents haven’t bought me any computer magazines for a long time, either, so I’m not really up to date with the current scene, but Alienware is cool. And the PCs look SO WONDERFUL.

Too bad I don’t game.

Well, if you use 3D Studio Max or any video/picture editing software, you will notice the power. Otherwise you probably wouldn’t really understand what that baby can do.

Then again, you could always game. :D

Actually buying PCs like that is almost meaningless as its going to be atleast 4-5 years before games come out which will fully utilize the power of that machine.

(the same thing happened to my PC…my 2 and a half year old PC still runs almost all games at full settings without glitches/lag…)

Or you could just try having 14 different Firefox Windows open, each having the maximum no. of tabs open, running in concert with VLC, Downloads, Adobe and a bunch of others. That always works for me when I want my comp stuck actually. :D

@artict: No, no, no, no.

No.

That is wrong. Are you a gamer? Like a very hard-core gamer? You wouldn’t say such a thing if you were.

I use a lot of picture editing software, but I definitely don’t game. As such, I have all I need (okay, a lot more than I need).

Shrivats – I do that. (That is, run loads of Firefox windows and tabs, VLC, a download manager, the last.fm client, Terminal, iTunes, and the GIMP concurrently. My computer hasn’t crashed yet, fortuitously.)

Kriti, stop mistreating my books. :p

I like that all us CBSE-ers are here just before our English exam. Clearly, we have no shame (or we’re just that arrogant). ;)

I’m assuming that’s to Aritct, not to me. :)

English tomorrow for you people? (I state the obvious, tis a character flaw)

@ Noldo: It’s fine, I ducked. Though the book did go flying out of the window) :)

Yeah. Didn’t know you were going to post.

Ah fond memories of our space time wrecking days. :)

Who here dares bet against CC crashing on the 29th?

It will crash. It’s a given.

Oh, most definitely.

I’m wondering how college servers are going to handle the stampeding horde of students checking decisions, though (for those that don’t email but have a login system – hi MIT!). I have nightmarish memories of checking my ICSE board results – I was on dial-up at the time, to make everything more gruesome, and refreshed the page for 45 minutes straight.

Stop.

The decisions will come when they will come. Lets talk about something else.

Good idea (especially for those of us with terminal paranoia).

I’m resisting the urge to break into Latin. Or song. Or something.
