I read about Earl Grey Tea, Murray Gell-Mann, and Lemon and it reminds me of the da Vinci Code, and Artemis Fowl: The Lost Colony (sorry, I know it is childish, but I love Artemis Fowl.)

As for me I haven’t actually tasted Earl Grey, but then again, I am a coffee person. (A pukka Chennaiite always is)

As for you Noldo, sorry about the converstion, but obviously the guy (or girl?) knows nothing about the U.S. Colleges. Not that he/she should, but don’t sweat it.

Yep, bas, you guys do have better PR. Pasadena has better weather, though, so it evens out? (In all seriousness, though, it’s a bit silly to obsess over one Very Good College versus another. Pity no-one in my acquaintance agrees with this.)

I have an admirable online acquaintance, actually (and off CC – well, sans online acquaintance I wouldn’t have applied to the US, I think, so I have them to thank!). Fun.

I’m in fact happy Caltech rejected me… my parents would have forced me to go to Pasadena… invoking the familiar place, friends and relatives in CA argument… All the great people I know have gone to both the colleges… eg Richard Feynman… me too (LOL :))

bas – my parents would have forced me to go to MIT, and the more I read the more I realise I’ll probably fit in better at Caltech (thanks to its theoretical focus), so I am slightly amused.

I didn’t apply to Duke. Was going to, but…didn’t.
