The Indian Thread (TiT) # 15

@spacepirate: I’m too shocked… I thought u’d surely get into Princeton :(

i am back to my senses now. coming to think of it i tooook a HUUGGGE risk .i applied only to brown, MIT and CMU. and CMU rejected me!!

there was a very good probabablitly i would have got rejected everywhere. and in that case…well i dont know. theres alway NUS.

has anybody got into princeton? .

space pirate- i still remeber from one of my earlier threads, you were one of those few people to support me. hey cheer up, easire said than done i know, but just remebr whatver happens happens for the best. thats what i told myself.

Did anyone talk to their parents about their admission decisions yet ?

Where are the twins ?

Cornell decisions not coming up.

No probs, I’m off to bed. Cornell can wait. ;)

Congratulations to everyone who got in…and my condolences to everyone who didn’t make it in by a whisker.

what is surprising is that CC passed the test and survived the day.

edit: I’m going to bed as well.

karthik- did you apply for aid at Brown?

Hey Guys I’m Back!!!
Too Upset To Talk Yesterday As I Got Rejected By Jhu (finances Were A Factor)

But Check Out My Location Now!!!

Here’s what’s happenned to me so far

JHU rejected
Chicago rejected
Princeton waitlisted
Harvard accepted and definitely matriculating
Cornell won’t open
Others…I’m not bothered

YIPPPPEEEEEE!!!

Congrats to all those who got in!
My heartfelt sympathies and best wishes for those who haven’t got what they were looking for…seriously.
and a BIG THANK YOU to everyone on the The Indian Thread, without which applying to american colleges wouldn’t have been much fun!

A BIG SHOUT OUT TO TiT!!!

Cornell still won’t open

got rejected by Penn and ACCEPTED BY BROWN!!!

JHU rejected
Chicago rejected
Princeton waitlisted
Harvard accepted and definitely matriculating
Cornell won’t open
Penn rejected
Brown accepted

Dartmouth waitlisted

JHU rejected
Chicago rejected
Princeton waitlisted
Harvard accepted and definitely matriculating
Cornell won’t open
Penn rejected
Brown accepted
Dartmouth waitlisted

i guess the reason why so many places rejected me…a major reason atleast…was that i had applied for MASSIVE financial aid. My dad wouldn’t pay more than $ 8000 per year as I have a sister who’s in Class 10 going to 11.

Oh! well all’s well that ends well!

CORNELL ACCEPTED ME AS WELL!!! I’m on a roll tonight!!!

JHU rejected
Chicago rejected
Princeton waitlisted
Harvard accepted and definitely matriculating
Cornell won’t open
Penn rejected
Brown accepted
Dartmouth waitlisted
Cornell accepted

Yale Waitlisted

Colombia my account does not show the link it is supposed to.

congrats to everyone who got accepted, I hate being waitlisted at Penn and Yale, the suspense is killing me

Columbia Rejected, Finally the link showed up

Taemi: You got logged into Cornell, Mine won’t open.

Cornell Finally opened, Rejected :frowning:
So now I hope that either Yale or Penn send me an offer soon.

Well Shrivats and I were rejected from Cornell, but accepted to Berkeley!!! And what’s more we’ve both been awarded the Regents’ and Chancellors’ Scholarship !:)

Even with a 25% success rate I’m at the college of my dreams, so I’m not complaining… Caltech had the finaid axe to grind, okay… And what would Harvard do with a HARDCORE engineering major? (But, why did they send the app packet to my home? Marketing, right…)

But Princeton… Seems they’ve taken only arts and culture majors… given the millions of dollars of grants pumped in this year…

Or does it imply that I was such a perfect match for MIT that I couldn’t thrive anywhere else? Love ya MIT! I never knew the meaning of a safety and this is what comes out of stuffing 3 other codes on SAT score recipients list… :)
