i going to brown, even if i get into SCS

Suprising choice given your intended major , but each to his own!

yeah. but how does that matter?

ok it does to a certain extent, but I am looking at brown for two reason1)it will give me the solid foundation for an engg program, but at the same time i dot intend working as an engg, i would probably go on to do business school, or grad somewhere else. I want an expereince for my undergradaute education, where i will be able to evolve as a person. and its not thatbrown is bad. its not an ivy for nothing.

Brown isnt bad , but CMU isnt bad either , given the fact that you will puruse an engineering career you kinda impact your career with a technological focus , whether your engineering maybe from Brown.

As an undergrad experience , CMU and Brown both offer great overall experiences , but in technology matters CMU beats Brown hands down , and even if you intend to do an MBA later on , your focus will tend towards management in tech companies (given ur profile vis a vis engineering) and in that CMU again comes out top.

In the other case where you abandon your engineering roots , Brown and CMU pretty much are at the same level , just because you did your undergrad at an Ivy over CMU aint gonna get you anywhere significantly different.

@Noldo: duh, 24, not even a prime number… 17 is a PRIME :D

@kaarthick… where did avinash get in?

Yes, but I’m not all that fond of prime numbers (although my birthday is one, the 23rd). :p

23 is one of my favorite primes… though it’s a bit intimidating… have u seen the movie “The Number 23” :D

No, I haven’t seen it. (You have favourite prime numbers? :eek: Well, I do like 269, but.)

and apart from the plain-vanilla primes, LOL, I also like Mersenne Primes… :)
