The Indian Thread (TiT) # 15

Did you manage to find out details about Reagents?

No, though I’ve heard both good and bad. I’m not too sure I like Berkeley though…

@Shrivats: Yeah. Lets start it. :p

@ Shrivats - I wasn’t too sure about Berkeley either but if its a full ride I wouldnt pass it up.

I guess you’ll get your admission packet in a few days. Till then, join me in remaining confused. ;)

It’s not going to be a full ride, I’m pretty sure of that… (Public college –> Giving full ride to Int’l = extremely unlikely. :D)

Guyz…GaTech, UIUC, UMich or Purdue for Aerospace Engineering ? :D

I still haven’t made up my mind yet…

UIUC or Purdue.

Mich I’d say… Brilliant college, can’t go wrong…

Purdue…but too many Indians lol

Umich  Though I may be slightly biased.

:( What about GaTech ?? It ranks 2nd in Aerospace…loads of internships…

I’m pretty sure it’s a full ride. OOS students and internationals are considered equivalent.

I thought you wanted views on colleges other than GaTech. Sure, I’d have gone with GaTech too.

I’m approaching this more from the entire college experience perspective. Consider the possibility that your major may change as well, unless you’re completely certain.

I’d consider Mich a safer choice than Purdue. But that’s just me. :)

Yeah…I wouldn’t be confused had I got into MIT :D

I’ve heard its easier to get into UMich than GaTech…

Are you intent on doing just Engineering or do you want a dabble a bit here and there…do a concentration, minor or even double major in Eco, Political Science, Philosphy, International Relations?

If you do, Michigan would be the best choice as almost all its departments are top class.

But then later on, they say that in order to get the full ride you need a US Social Security No. Which is a contradiction that I’ll have to get clarified today…

Or rather tonight. :p

If it really is a full-ride, then we’ll have to very seriously consider it. :D

Alright…but what about the darn weather ? GaTech has a nice warm climate, like Delhi. UMich is cold… :frowning: I HATE the cold)

Oh C’mon. It’s not that bad.
