<p>Don’t worry Lakshya, considering the other places you’ve been accepted to, there’s every likelihood you’ll also get into CMU (though you don’t need me to tell you that! :)) And there’s really no comparing CMU’s CS to anywhere else.</p>

<p>SP: great story! i hate it when these ‘well-wishers’ keep saying stuff like ‘he’s never coming back’ and ‘why is he going at such a young age’. I mean a guy can get into an IIT on the opposite side of the country and get ragged like hell and then its fine but going to the US becomes taboo! the weirdest ting was when this neighbour of mine came to our house this morning and warned my mother: ‘He’s going to marry an American girl!’. Luckily my mother had the presence of mind to say she doesn’t mind that! (Of course I can get most of these people to shut up by telling them i’ll be studying at harvard for free)</p>
