The Indian Thread (TiT) #18

Eastafrobeauty, I agree with you dude but think of how hard is it to adapt to a new style of learning after learning to the same learning style for your years in studies. After I came from India, to study my 2nd and 3rd grade, it was a lot hard. It was difficult to how they taught here. If you go there at 18 years to do your medicine, I mean at 2nd and 3rd grade it was hard, how hard would it be then.

Custard: The debt is HUGE. Its notoriously hard to pay off, and makes for a very strenuous lifestyle. I think, once you get your degree here, you can retake the med exam or whatever you call it, in the US and then be certified to practice there. I’m not too sure about the details.

east: Yup, that’s all true. =)

Trust me education will not be just as good but yeah u will complete your studies in a shorter amount of time. Also, with NRI’s quota thing at various colleges, it will be easier for you to get in than indian nationals.

hahaha i feel so bad for all the Indian kids…even back in Dubai that are finishing up their CBSE curriculum. It’s hard as ****…

well what you might wanna really look up is how many Indian kids are going to do med school in US… anddd its hard to get into bachelor’s med here too(i dont know if they have any softer requirements for internationals/NRIs though)

wait…are you a NRI if you are born in another country?

Do you have Indian citizenship?

I was born in India.

Indian citizenship? Do you have an Indian passport?

NRI=non resident Indian, which means you have Indian citizenship basically…and if you were born in India I guess you have Indian citizenship by birth
(its funny when people call guys with no Indian citizenship and just Indian origin NRIs)

NRI=Non Reliable Indian

yah…I do have an indian passport. It has the indian 3 lions or chackram right?

Yes, thats it. You’re an NRI.

i have an indian passport tooooooo =]

Guys, I think it’s best to drop the subject. I admit it, it’s best to do your medical whatever in India.

lol yeah
10 char

i’m gunna play a playaa from the hood

After a year in the US, I’m happy I went to school in India and not in the US. It was rote learning and stuff but it was awesome fun…

Undergrad is another story…

And I’m back home FINALLY
Effin quarter system.
