I can understand the pressures youre going through because of your post-admission formalities!
No issues, sorry for pressurizing you :P

*pressure

Oh ISC, why did you have to mess with my grammar? >.<

Thanks ev my visa has been approved :)!!! Now comes the good part - shopping shopping shopping for a laptop !!

Guys, how is Boston University? Is it good for engineering/pure sciences?

congrats ans… what all did they ask you? 2 days to go for mine

@Ansrox: Congrats on your Visa dude! Anyone’s successful attempt at getting a Visa lessens my anxiety and makes me more and more hopeful for the same. So, what were you asked by the officials?

@Aniruddh: Thanks a lot for bearing with me Ani! Although I have a lot on the platter these days, I will still try my best to send you a reply at the earliest.

Here’s what SHE asked:why the us, why this university, who will pAy?
Congo, ur visa has been approved. You will receive it within a few days

super nostalgic :|

haha nice… I’ve heard they grill guys who have siblings studying there already?

For what and why, gar?

^ Check my FB. Penn+early birthday celebration. Last time I was together with all of my best friends :|

Oh, me too! All of them together for what, I suspect, was the last time… Not nostalgic though. shrugs

Pragmatic of you, sush.

I had something like that yesterday, but all my friends are in different groups and leave sporadically so I don’t really say goodbye to all of them in one big gathering and am not used to seeing all of them together anyway. Saw my favorite best friend for the last time before everything changes.

Well, one of my best friends is going to the US too… so that makes it easier.
Also… the last two years hav been less than ideal for some of us… (the science/commerce/arts divide? Very much there though heaven knows why )

So, I wish I *could * be nostalgic, but I’m just NOT.

I’m nostalgic, not saaaad or anything. The reassuring awesomeness of CC/Penn FB friends is enough to keep that from happening :P

Waaaaaaaaaaaaaaa
I wanna be a celebrity
rock u like a hurricane

Good morning everyone!

I need your opinion on something. While filling out the DS-160 for my US Visa, I came across the following question: “Have you belonged to, contributed to, or worked for any professional, social, or charitable organization?”

How do I need to answer this question, keeping in mind the fact that I took a gap year and volunteered to work at my locality’s Senior Citizen Society, at various NGOs alongside my mother and at a coaching center as an Assistant and a Student Counselor? Do I mention the names of all these places in the DS-160 or do I simply leave the question blank? If, in case, I do decide to mention the aforementioned names, will I need to procure letters or certifications from these authorities for the same?

Guys, anything and everything is welcome! ASAP…

Just write about them in brief. I don’t think you need to bring any certificates. I didn’t bring any either!

heyy everyone ;)

my grandparents are coming from india tomm!!
