The Indian Thread (TiT) #18

Looooooooong wait harvy!!!
U got into brown and waitlisted at Ann arbor hahahahaha
Ann arbor gotta shove th waitlist letter up now heh

hi debargya9 - explain the meaning of ur username someday

welcome to the jungle fellows!!

Did I mention that I am the quickest to reach the USA among all the nonUSA resident titers?

^My scenario pretty much sums up the randomness of the admissions game, Ans. I was aghast when I saw the wailtlist status at Ann Arbor!

@Ans: The admissions process is soo random! Remember Priyanka_Keswani? She posted here a while back… She got accepted to UMich! :|

@Harvy: Best of luck for your interview, dude. BTW, did you finally get accepted or rejected at Stanford? Curious to know!

^Aniruddh, I was ultimately denied entry at Stanford. Had I been accepted, I would have definitely accepted their offer of admission. Stanford rocks for Sciences!

P.S. With the silicon valley close by, Apple, Google, Microsoft et cetera are just a block away! Amazing, ain’t it?

Aniruddh: Why the hell are you all ‘:|’ at her being accepted at UMich?

look at her stats majorquest. havard beat her everywher. BY A MILE. OR MAYBE 10.

With UMich Ann Arbor, the earlier you apply, the better your chances of getting admitted.

^ That can’t be true??? If it is then how early is early enough? I am applying asap! :p

EDIT: Ans…I see your point! I’d bet on 10! :|

it rained for the third time at kota today.
And yeah kota is ****e, every time it rains the power goes off.

Ans, thanks a lot for the indirect compliments, but I have to say that Blue_box is right! The rolling admission policy at UMich reaps out insane results for a lot of qualified applicants…

The best time to apply to colleges is 23 November 18:07:25hrs and the supplementry material should be mailed in an yellow envelope having three red dots in such a way that the area of the triangle formed should be 12.38 cm sq. applying on this time increases your chance of getting admitted by 28.74 percent and doing both increases it by 38.24 percent

^Good one! By the way, MIT respects and truly appreciates such witty humor!

my friend just started repeaters classes at bansal , kota for iit jee. he is there now, nomad.

yeah the repeaters are here, it has significantly increased the crowd at bansal, they along with acme ppl make about 6000 more students at bansal, the regular 11th and 12th ppl amount to another 10-14k ppl

heeeeeeeeeeey :]

[YouTube - Bheegi Si Bhaagi Si (FULL SONG) - HQ Rajneeti- * Katrina Kaif Ranbir Kapoor](http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hWigWnknbdo) - i love that songggg

harvard17, do u have anything other than cc or fb? i neeeeeeed to talk to you.

Bansals has 10k-14k people? What, are you kidding me? :O

nomad, one of my good friends studies at bansal… He got a 97 in his boards…

@harvy- One of my friends was waitlisted but ultimately rejected as well… Stanford’s a great place. Been there…

Yeah, in terms of stats, her stats are like ethiopia and harvys stats are like usa :P

@Bubbly: Oh no! This is all I have got. CC is where I am most active. FB, to be honest, is not even a distant reflection of my activity on CC! Ask Quasi, Gary, Ani about it!?!?

@Aniruddh: It looks like Stanford did not admit any waitlisted students this year from India. Well, who the hell in India would turn down it’s offer in the first place!

MajorQuest: For UMich, apply sometime in November/December.

no i said 10-14k ppl in 11th and 12th alone, add another 6-7k for 13th and acme, so the total comes across 17-20k students…phew…
I guess bansal is trying to rake in as much as possible before its business closes down.

Bansals aint that good anymore… Not even one person in the top 20 from bansals in IIT '10! #justsaying
