Lol, automatic entrance is what’s enticing me to apply. For some reason, I feel like I’ll end up getting rejected everywhere, and then I’ll become homeless within five years and end up dying from parasites.

Or even worse, end up somewhere like Tech 0_o

O_o
Lol. All I think of when I hear “Tech” is high STD rates.

ewwww raider rash

The campus is horrifying, too. UIL Region is at Tech and there’s literally nothing to do in Lubbock except drink yourself to death.

Hahaha. Yeah, Tech’s definitely not an option.

I got into UT Austin too! But I think I’m only going there if I make Honors. (But I’d prefer Rice over UT.)

I just sorted my interview today for 02/12. Which was very random as I really wasn’t expecting one being in a small village in the South of Spain. I got an email from an alumni in London who said if I was about it would be good to meet for an interview. Fortunately, I just happened to be going to England on the 1st, so worked out rather nicely. Pretty sure my parents would otherwise have been loathe to pay for flights to get there for it.

^ This majorly confused me. I was wondering how you were having an interview a good 2 months after SCEA decisions will be released… then I remembered that the rest of the world writes the date in a different order than Amurrika. -__- fail

Anyway, good luck!

Dang, just had my interview in Little Rock. I was on a Thanksgiving vacation all last week and when we checked the phone messages this morning, well, I had an interview. I called the guy and he set it up or 4:30 today. Quick turn around, but at least it kept me from getting too nervous, and I’m thankful for that.

The guy was an English major like I want to be, so we had a pretty good conversation about some books. I also was lucky to find that he was an Eagle Scout like me, so that was pretty good too
Overall, it was a legitimately fun conversation. He was a pretty insightful guy and asked good questions. The interview lasted about an hour and a half, which I hope is good. I’m not sure if I absolutely blew him away (stumbled every now and then, but who doesn’t, I guess) but I could tell that he liked me and the interview definitely didn’t hurt me.

I’m definitely relieved it’s over. He told me he thoght I would definitely contribute to the student body if I got in, so of course I hope that’s a good sign. But maybe he says that to everyone… I dont know. All I can do now is wait. But I really do think it went pretty well.

^Glad it went well!

GUYS GUYS GUYS GUYS!!! I JUST GOT CALLED FOR AN INTERVIEW TOMORROW!!
Haha, I can’t believe I was called for an interview on the last day possible! lol
I’m thinking button down and casual khakis?

^AAAA JEALOUS. Just curious, what part of Texas are you from? I’m from around D/FW and haven’t gotten anything D:

Also, that sounds like appropriate attire.

Okay, cool.
I’m from Houston! Woot.

EDIT: She apparently tried to call a week ago, but ended up at the wrong number. Lol.

Best of luck Owlehn. :)

Whaaaat, well congrats for that!! You seem like a neat person, so I’m sure it’ll go well!
I’ll sit here with fgsfds meanwhile, even though I’m from the Houston area :(…

Yeah, I’m not stressing out too much about it. I’m just going to be myself.
And that’s cool! Texans represent haha

I had my interview today! It was with a law professor at FSU, who went to Yale & Berkeley, and also taught at Duke. It was at 6pm, and I woke up from my nap at 5:30 and kinda started freaking out. I got ready and drove over to his office, but I could not find it. At about 5:58 I started freaking out, cause I had no idea where it was. I went inside a random building and asked these guys if they knew, and luckily, they pointed me right to his office. We had a great conversation that lasted about two hours, and we talked about so many different topics. I’m feeling pretty good about it; hopefully the interview will give a little boost to my application.

Interview tomorrow!!! Yay!

Wow is there an applicant here who DIDN’T get an interview?

/raises hand
I didn’t get an interview for Yale.
