That is why it’s up no?

I don’t get the window dressing on jan 28. Do you think there will be buyers up to Jan 31?

I think some people (institutions) wanted out of aapl by the end of last week. There was an incredible amount of option trading in both the 440 puts and 445 calls on Friday. I don’t think the traders could afford to exercise either because of capital costs. The stock has dropped a lot also.

More buyers than sellers. :)

I thought that Window Dressing was at the end of quarters.

End of the month, quarters, year but the rally doesn’t always happen exactly on the 30th or 31st. I can’t explain it. It’s just one of those patterns that I notice. It happens right around this day and AAPL was technically oversold last friday late afternoon so you expect it to gap up today. Is this a dead cat bounce? IDK.

This may explain the pattern I noticed:

It’s the quarterly part that is confusing…

Because jan31 is not the end of the qtr for most firms…

That doesn’t mean that there aren’t monthly patterns…

You may be right about the day or two before the end of the month having a higher probability for the stock market to rise than fall. (I…think you are right. ).

I am leaving for a couple of hours.
I have two live orders…
I need aapl to drop 7 bucks to get filled on one. Won’t hold my breath.
The other… I am on the offer.

[Why Apple Stock Fell So Far So Quickly](Why Apple Stock Fell So Far So Quickly)

I decided I’ rather buy more of my company stock which I finally did today. It has a very wide moat unlike aapl.

Got mine at $113. Gonna hold for a while longer. lol

$113… that’s sweet.

Of course, it was sweeter 8 weeks ago…

Lol…

It’s still sweet.

I don’t plan on buying aapl until the 18 day moving average crosses above the 20 day moving average.

I’m surprised you’re not using the 17 day crossing the 21 day.

I suppose I could use the 17/21 crossover because they look about the same as far as results.

Sold fb 2/1 27 puts = .28

That is probably a good sale.

I am a little bummed today because I have sold most of my aig thru selling convered calls and the premium is too low now. I was enjoying selling premium there.

Aapl has rallied and the premium in the puts have been crushed and that is another trade that is not there right now…
I am trying to sell 2 of the 435 puts right now…Because I just want to do something…

I guess I will go do something else besides trade…

I’m trying to sell aapl 2/16 415 puts for 1.15

I like the strike. I don’t fell like going out to 2/16.

I think aapl is ok now. I doubt it will go to 415. I tried to buy the 410-415 call spread yesterday. Didn’t buy it.

BCE is up 3% since BCE mentioned BCE on 1/17. That’s pretty good for a stock I bought for its 5% dividend. Thanks BCE.
