I’m very light on my market exposure.

Well, the market will be here tomorrow, the day after and the rest of the year. I would really like to lighten up soon.

Like most, Schwab displays my various account totals together and marks them to market, so on a day like today even though in aggregate I am 40% cash, my mark to market shows a nice “gain” and it makes me feel wealthier. But it’s not a killing. :)

Anybody have fb in play for Wednesday’s earnings?

IBD says Market Uptrend Resumes.

I guess that means the market will go down now. :)

IBD has been pretty good this year, hasn’t it?

BTW, AAPL ran past my target and I was too greedy to sell it there. I should look at higher targets. Yesterday’s resistance was the 50 DMA. If it can get by that today …

It would be nice to have AAPL back as an engine for the $compq. It would be great to have both AAPL and GOOG doing the heavy lifting.

Friend has a target of AAPL of $460 now. Some other traders believe that the bottom is in for AAPL. I don’t really know. I still have my 200 shares and I will look at the chart tonight to see what I want to do with this.

Some russian billionaire bought $100 million of AAPL.

PBA is acting like a buyout target. I hope nobody buys it out. I’d have a huge capital gain to deal with.

Doct, I should have bought the butterfly in aapl…

Nice trade…

I might do something very small in fb…might.

You’re going to help Zuck’s Roth?

I’d really love this to be the bottom for AAPL even though I don’t have very many shares.

:)

If I trade fb, it is going to be a very tiny trade. Teeny tiny.

I don’t know what I am going to do in aapl going forward either.

I just dont know. :)

Aapl is going to borrow billions at very low rates. 5 years for about 1.1 percent. 10 years for maybe 2.47 percent.

I don’t know why investors want to lock in those rates. After inflation, the 5 year is a loser…

Well, I wouldn’t buy here without a technical signal. We all need a reason to get into a trade where the odds are better than even that we’ll win. So I always like to be patient and wait for that reason to come to me. Because it always will. Eventually. And if it’s too long to wait, there are a lot of other stocks out there. Or you can just pick GOOG.

I wish I owned just aapl calls instead of the butterfly but it’s still ok. Yesterday, I was going to buy some aapl call spreads - too bad I didn’t.

TJ Maxx announced that they’re borrowing $500 million for 2.5%. That’s why they are the only stock down on my streamer right now. They are near all-time-highs though. I think that they know what they’re doing with that money so I’ll stay in for now. PBA announced that they’re borrowing $200 million yesterday (don’t know the rate). Stock went up yesterday and today. If you can borrow money to make more money, great. Maybe the stuff Apple is doing is so that they don’t have to repatriate profits stuck in other countries right now. Apple for me is a technical play this time around.

This is why I may not trade fb. There is really no reason to trade it.

Ok…this one thing I am going to do in aapl. Since I missed the butterfly…I am going to sell the 405 puts. If the puts end up in the money…I am going to turn the trade into a butterfly. if the puts expire worthless, I make 60 bucks.

Either way, I am happy unless the stock gaps big below 405 this week on me. Obviously 60 bucks is not a lot of money… But it is 60 more bucks than I have right now…Lol

It is my offer in the puts. Maybe, I won’t get the trade off.

". If you can borrow money to make more money, great. Maybe the stuff Apple is doing is so that they don’t have to repatriate profits stuck in other countries right now"

Yes…

I can see why the borrowers are borrowing. The lenders are the ones I am not that sure about.

Well…I guess these rates beat treasuries.
