I deleted this…

I dont want to start putting out too much info. Lol

I know the subscribers will see the post. That is fine.

Interesting links. Some bond funds are buying dividend paying stocks.

This qe… I don’t know…I guess Warren Buffett doesn’t know either… Lol

I would love to do something with intc options but the intc option market stinks…

I like intc…

As we know… I am not a techie …lol.

I didn’t know they could do that.

Buy div stocks? I guess it is in the charter of the funds that they can…

[Could this retirement plan replace the 401(k)? - Robert Powell’s Retirement Portfolio - MarketWatch](<a href=“Could this retirement plan replace the 401(k)? - MarketWatch”>Could this retirement plan replace the 401(k)? - MarketWatch)

Interesting article. I see that utx has that. I didn’t realize that. My father had a regular pension plan with them.

I have been slowly been increasing my risk. Trading bigger.

Probably not a good sign for the market. Lol

The cash plans look ok…a mix of cash plans, 401ks, and ss is not bad. Pensions would be nice, but I guess pensions are getting rarer.

The cash plans are a nice perk. Tax deferred money. No wonder the govt is running deficits. All these tax advantaged perks. Lol

In the article it is stated that 250,000 in savings buys an annuity that gets a person to the top of the poverty level.

Utx? I wonder how long these cash plans have been around?

Anybody have any good ideas of what to buy tomorrow and the rest of the week? I’ve got an itchy trigger finger but can’t see anything that I want but my view of the market is pretty limited.

I felt the same way on Friday. Just watched it go up and didn’t feel like buying anything. I did add to my QLD position and tried to add to PSEC (it ran away from me; I only got a small number of shares and I wasn’t chasing). You can either hold your nose and buy or scale in or wait for a pullback. There will always be a pullback. Or you can look for the best technical setups or invest if you like a good company fundamentally. The problem with bull markets for traders is getting in and riding it up. As traders, it feels like we have to get off; sometimes too frequently.

Leadership looks like it may return to the techs and energy stocks. Crude is $96+ tonight - no doubt due to the situation in the Syria. Crude is trading in a relatively wide range and we’re around the middle of the range. You might take a chance on your favorite energy stock. It’s always, of course, better to try to buy near the bottom of the range but we don’t have that now.

I have been watching a bit on the fracking thread and the level of opposition to it. If we didn’t have fracking and shale in the US, I think that our economy would be a notch or two slower, the dollar weaker and crude and natural gas much higher. The supply of NG in North America is dampening prices around the world. We really can’t get it to other countries (and we can’t - I think that there are some laws blocking that), but the potential of the US exporting NG is depressing global prices.

I don’t see either stopping as there are too many economic and geopolitical interests in continuing. At best, I see the opposition adding safeguards and perhaps better controlling where it is done.

Of course if it were stopped, my PBA would go through the roof. PBA does traditional NG and provides pipelines from the Canadian Tar Sands.

My personal feeling is that you should always keep an eye on energy prices and what’s happening with energy in general, even if you don’t always hold some.

I may buy some more qqq options, perhaps dxj (with the expectation of the yen breaking through 100)

Well… This week I have tesla earmings.

I like BCEagle91’s post.

Doct, you don’t like qcom anymore?

Yes - I think I’m losing my marbles. Last week I said that the qcom 62.5 put options that I sold were expiring on the 3rd. I then looked again and thought that I had made a mistake and they were expiring next week. After you mentioned qcom, I looked again at what I had and they definitely expired last week. The travails of old age!

Oh… Boy…

Well u might have something to do now…

Is intc a threat to qcom in the smart phone market?

I meant to listen to intc’s last earnings call to get some color on the near future…

Cant listen on the iphone. And I forgot about it.

I don’t think that Intel is an immediate threat to QCOM. When Intel starts getting design wins in the US (they have had a few design wins in other countries), then there could be some concern. Intel is shipping chips with 3G and they feel that they need to ship with 4G to be competitive - it seems that Intel won’t ship in the US until they have 4G ready to go.

I think that Intel is going to show whether or not it can compete in the tablet market this summer. This makes sense as Intel is coming from the high-performance and high-power world. One other thing to note is when they will ship their next generation Atom processors for the phone market. I think that the US uptake will not be that fast.

When is 4g supposed to be ready to go?

It keeps getting pushed out. That’s been a problem. I don’t have a date for it.

Shoot. Ok. Thanks.

I sold the intc may10 24 puts today.

I don’t usually like to sell puts that are that close to being in the money…

But…

I think I will tale the stock…
