I think the older we get…the more we want simplicity.

Early 50’s here, and life could not be better…dstark, fire all the people that work for you ,gardener, landscaper, house cleaner, pool guy…tackle those chores yourself… :)

Qdogpa…I am simplifying my life…

I got rid of the pool…:)

Well…now I have a community pool…

Doing more chores is not going to work for me.

Are you doing more chores yourself?

Yes. I’m tired of stupid things here - having to change passwords every month, having to have some specific number of digits etc that haven’t been used before for my computer, my phone (this seems completely ridiculous to me), passwords on my computer not linked correctly, having to put documents in computer systems where the methodology is changed all the time. I think some of this stuff is purposely done to get rid of old geezers like me out of here.

Doct…that doesn’t sound like fun to me.

If i didn’t do the chores, i would have to work…so it is a no-brainer. ;)

I can’t keep track of all the passwords and have to write them down someplace. Since my father died, I have too many houses, too many accounts, too many clothes to get rid of, tons of my mother’s jewelry (my wife and daughter are not into jewelry) and this stuff is not real easy to unload.

Just talking economically here (and not politically), maybe we should amnesty all the millions here that have been here for a long while (and aren’t going anywhere) and make them part of the above ground economy. I, for one, do NOT want to end up like Japan!

I have been having similar discussions with my wife. :)

My wife said, "You are not going to sit around the house, ARE you?

I see that you have gotten away with it. :)

I am kind of a loafer…I don’t really believe in work. Don’t tell my kids. ;)

If I was running out of money and had to choose between my cleaning lady and internet provider… it would be a tough call.

“I can’t keep track of all the passwords and have to write them down someplace. Since my father died, I have too many houses, too many accounts, too many clothes to get rid of, tons of my mother’s jewelry (my wife and daughter are not into jewelry) and this stuff is not real easy to unload.”

Thst is a nightmare for me. I hate that stuff…

I hsve been asked to be an executor for several estates. I said yes…because…well…because.

And I am going to become an executor despite…

One…I will not be great at that. And 2…I hate that kind of work…which explains One.

Echhh…doct…at least you are a beneficiary…

You can see how busy i am by how often i post here at CC…very busy with household chores. ;)

Sometimes, I dream of living in a micro house for simplicity’s sake.

But then I wake up!

“If I was running out of money and had to choose between my cleaning lady and internet provider… it would be a tough call.”
:)

Roubini is on CNBC now, who’s next Henry Blodget or Joe Battapaglia, lol…i think i saw Blodget as a greeter at Walmart

Stocks have dropped as Roubini talks his drivel

“You can see how busy i am by how often i post here at CC…very busy with household chores.”

:)

I am working…my boss sits 3 feet from me. Luckily. He is oblivious. :)

I saw Roubini…

He is 70 percent long…

That is huuuuuuuge…

And the guy is negative…the nonsense that must go on in his brain…
I used to like Roubini…

I am paraphrasing Roubini…
“I am 70 percent long because I think the markets will be flat the rest of the year…and have big problems next year”.

That is pretty much what he said. I am not exaggerating.

Ok…I am supposed to listen to this guy…lol.

Ellemenope…that house is a little, tiny bit…too small. :)

Watched Roubini also, i think he confuses himself…btw, market looks like it will finish flat to slightly up

I watched the video and am fascinated by the things that he’s done to save space (and yet the lines are so clean). I think that some of those same things can be used in my spacious home…

I know somebody that is going to be on Fast Money…sometime during the next 7 days

So…pay attention…take notes… :)

I say this as I play with an empty peanut m&m wrapper.
