The Kinsey Scale

OK fellow future classmates, where does everyone stand on the Kinsey scale? Here is a chart of how it works…pretty interesting stuff really…
0- Exclusively heterosexual with no homosexual
1- Predominantly heterosexual, only incidentally homosexual
2- Predominantly heterosexual, but more than incidentally homosexual
3- Equally heterosexual and homosexual
4- Predominantly homosexual, but more than incidentally heterosexual
5- Predominantly homosexual, only incidentally heterosexual
6- Exclusively homosexual

Do a google search for more info if you’re curious…no pun intended.

By the way, I’m probably a 1.5. Yes, I know, I used a decimal point.

That study was extremely flawed.

Flawed eh? Well, that’s OK. It’s still sorta fun to think about. Thanks for the heads up though dude.
Peace

Well, I’d say a zero, but that’s probably a little close-minded of me, so maybe .2.

im kind of homophobic

but i did wrestle for a few years so ill give it a .1 in memory of all the ass slaps and seriously uncool positions.

.00001 here.

Bullmoose, I wonder what negatives would be then…extremely homophobe people?

The study was very flawed; however, it did promote progress. Kinsey is often given a bad rap because his statistics have been misrepresented by the media on several occasions.

Also, per Kinsey’s design of the scale, you may not have decimals. This version of the scale has been pretty simplified; he rated on a quantitative scale based on incidents or desires.

That being said, I’m a 6.

Homophobes might have a harder time at Brown than at a place like say, Furman University (FU, can u believe that? lol) Anyways, no decimals eh? I guess that makes me a 2.

A friend of mine applied to Fordham partly because he liked thte FU sweatshirts.

I’d say I’m a 2 or 3.

1 - though I really wish I could be in the 4 to 6 range. I’ve tried to experiment, but the idea of doing anything more than kissing another guy…even kissing another guy…makes me want to throw up. Oh well, I could have been really happy as a 6. Instead, I’m stuck with this heterosexual curse. Women are so hard to deal with(the ones I’ve dealt with, anyway) and I get along so much better with guys. There’s never any argument or negative emotion. Not really, anyway. Not nearly as much as with females.

Man, I guess I’m lucky I love women as both sex partners and better friends (than guys, in general). It just makes it that much better.

1 maybe

Man, chicas really are better friends than guys most of the time…Hikkifan–ur post was mind-boggling to me. No problem with anyone’s sexuality, i’ve just never heard anyone wish they were gay…

hahahahahahaha, I LOVE this thread.

2 or 3 for me.

oh, right. well girls are really good friends. guys are just…fun to play with.(not in a sexual way) My best friends have been girls. But then they become girlfriends. Then it doesn’t work out. Then it takes anywhere between a month and a year before we can be friends again. And only rarely do we become best friends again. (once)

u crack me up ernesto…“guys are just fun to play with”

The movie Kinsey was filmed at Fordham.

Absolute 0.

i think im at zero… i respect but i dont want to take part. only time i hold a guyshand is if it was my dad, or if its some young kid (not a michael jackson)… ok i aint saying more, i might make myself come across the wrong way… by the way, i only have one guy friend, the rest are women, cause women are so much easier to deal with, and most of the time they have better convos then guys ever could…

I don’t think zeroes or sixes exist. According to my sex ed classes at the catholic school, everyone EVERYONE has had homosexual thoughts during their lifetimes. That goes for homosexuals having hetero thoughts, too.

well… up to now, i can honestly sayi have never had a homosexual thought. and im not being defensive… but i truthfully havnt. so they told you everyone has those thoughts?.. they used to say the sun revolved around the moon too… and that meat generates life (maggots)… but they were wrong
