I got that too, I think those are only for kids who have issues with their placement like the departments want to clarify something or if they want to ask for some more information. I think we should get our placement results back in the summer because they need to see our final transcripts before making a decision. @mrnephew

Cool. Thanks.

So excited for class to start in September.

Hello, I am an incoming freshman at Lawrenceville. Has anyone succeeded in contacting any of the sports coaches? I was told to email the football coach regarding summer practice, but he has not responded yet. Coming from the west coast, I need to plan moving well in advance, so does anyone have any information pertaining toward contacting sports coaches?

Congrats!

I’m not too involved in sports for next year, so I haven’t received any contact from the athletics department, but I haven’t received any contact from the teachers either.

@shadow70 I’ve been in contact with the XC coach…I’m not sure if freshmen go to pre-season, but maybe try emailing again? Also, check if on your Haiku page you have a strength/conditioning page/class with summer workouts. (Then you know for sure that the coach saw your email) :)

@sunshinegirl17 Thanks, I indeed have the summer workouts tab. Anyone else procrastinating over finals by day-dreaming about school next year?

I am doing that A LOT. And also worrying about school next year.

I’ve also been doing this thing where I look around my school and wonder where I’ll be and what I’ll be doing in exactly one year’s time.

Me too. I feel like it’s going to be so different, and I barely have what to expect in my head.

Does anyone know what books we’re reading in English next year?

I don’t think we find that out until September. We do get a textbook list though sometime in July I think?

Well I think the teachers can choose whatever book they want as long as it will help the kids learn the curriculum.
@greyeyedgoddess

Class of 2014 are going to be alumni by this afternoon…

Summer Reading Lists just came to my parents’ email.

And did you guys do the photo thing already?

Any of you entering third formers thinking it’s weird that we’re reading a book about the Vietnam war for English?? Seems more like a book for history

It does. And that’s a very extensive reading list.

We are doing catcher in the rye

Whoo I love catcher in the rye
Holden!!!

Tenth grade is different, we’re doing the O’Brien book.

The Things They Carried by Tim O’Brien, to be exact. It’s actually quite an enjoyable book so far.

My book just came in the mail today.
