This thread lives on guys!

I am going to Nigeria before the summer
then i go to Yale for classes
father said so
that is the downside

in the other news:
He promised to get me a present. I know what it is. a Honda
I am going to Nigeria!!
At long last, I get to have a life!!

Thnxs ChandlerBing…Williams is #1 for me now, though i should probably at least visit …i have not step foot on any campuses yet. i am more of the math/science girl (8oo math SAT/have already taken all of the math classes at my local college), but i am not the math type socially (more like Danica/Winnie) so i am thinking a school like Williams will work. I really don’t want to spend all my time in college studying…as they say life is too short.

I was accepted to Yale Summer school, but I am not sure I can go because it conflicts (by one day) with Girls State ( which is free and more of an honor). I was thinking it would be nice (Yale)for the summer. Sort of the idea of if i can’t have the car at least i could drive it. Again, thnx to all of you…

^ I say go to the summer program.

My own experience with those is that they help with nothing towards admissions…BUT…

They do allow you to take actual college classes (likely taught by a gradstudent/TA instead of a prof though), they do allow you to live in dorms (Yale’s RCs are gorgeous, btw), and they can forge long lasting friendships.

And who knows, if you were to get into Yale, you’d even have some credits under your belt.

^^^ Yay, bluewhitebulldog!

I was supposed to go to Nigeria this summer, too, but due to the economy and other things…my family can’t. I haven’t visited since I immigrated (which was like fourteen years ago). What part of Nigeria are you going? What state(s) do your parents belong to?

I hope you have fun and congrats on getting a car! I have a license but no car, yet…(I mean, I have a car but I’m not allowed to drive it. Sucks!!)

Here’s to being one of the few people who actually understands you!! Haha! :D

Oopsies…double post.

Ahaha it’s alive! :)

nice to have you all back :)

I hate…ok i dislike people when they talk about licences :p

I’m 17 you see
One more year
sniff

^ I’m 18 (USA, not India), and I never bothered to get mine.

In all likelyhood, I’ll end up getting it after college.

Ha! Driving is the coolest thing ever…and I’m only seventeen. :)

Here, now do you want to know what gets me mad? I’ve been allowed to drink since I was 16 here in Switzerland, and now, that right will once again be taken from me in the states. Can you believe that?!

I don’t drink, btw. But just knowing that a right that I already have can be taken back, oooh, that gets me mad ;-)

I haven’t ever gotten my licence, either. Tons of public transportation in Switzerland :)

^ I totally can’t find you on facebook.

Like, really…there are a billion ______________'s.

lol, I know, and I’m none of them :)

Hahaha…i had the same problem with her
And the best is half of them don’t have profile pics

Legal drinking age in india is 25
Not that anyone follows it but you know it still sucks

As for driving…my friends drive but the road manners are pathetic here

I’d love to drive on german autobahns though :)

haha prateek :)

yep, german autobahns are awesome, but also quite scary, just so you know ;-)

Scary
Hmm
You should visit india
You’ll realize autobahans are not scary ;)

That being said german sausages are delicious
Sorry

Im just hungry ;)

^ What’s better than being cut off by a massively large ‘lorry’ with “HORN OK PLEASE” and “USE DIPPER AT NIGHT” painted on it?

Driving …on the wrong side of a two way ‘highway’, and narrowly avoiding those same trucks in a small car.

^ Done it.

Haha, No2EULA, how about doing the same thing, but crashing the car, and then writing a college essay about it?

It’d make a ‘compelling’ story…

I’m asking my parents about going to Afghanistan this summer. 1) Personal reasons 2)How badass would that be?!

Lol what’s with the German Autobahn?
Seriously you get used to it.
BTW: I don’t have a driver’s license yet as well.
And like sev I’m allowed to drink since I was 16. If I end up in the states, I definitely won’t miss that. I managed Canada, so I’ll manage the US, too. :D
