<p>How much does a likely/acceptance at a (I think, right) somewhat competitive school bode for other acceptances?</p>
<p>I got a likely from NYU, and an email from their ling/classics person.
Does the significance stop there?</p>
<p>Do other schools REALLY have completely different criteria?</p>

<p>good luck to ya’ll finding out today. i got waitlisted, too. slightly bummed. then i find out later – within minutes – that one of my friends got into chicago and another into georgetown. a week before one got that university scholar finalist thing from duke.</p>
<p>and then i look at myself – bless us all on tuesday.</p>

I got notice that I was accepted to the other major I chose in Tel Aviv University (well, I’ve got to have a backup plan no?), so if I won’t get ANYWHERE to study, even Architecture programs in Israel, and if I won’t win the lottery all of a sudden or get a huge scholership so I could study in IIT, I’ll be a communication/philosophy double major in Tel Aviv - yay?</p>

<p>not to offend anyone but i’m not too fond of dogs…</p>
<p>lol. it’s all good. i got bit by one. worst moment.</p>
<p>so i’m skipping school, right? i get to school on the bus and my best friend takes me in his jetta to some other kid’s house. at this other kid’s house, there’s also another dude skipping. so four of us guys total – we all have to finish our ap bio lab but have no way to get it done so we just sleep and order pizza and ****.</p>
<p>anyway, the owner of the house decides to go to school so he can get only a half absence by being there half the day. which leaves three of us. the other two people know the owner’s dog very well. i don’t. after playing basketball outside for a while, us three come into the house. the mom had kept the dog locked in the room but while we were playing she let him out. as i walk into the corridor i just know something bad is going to happen. i try moving behind the other two guys – the dog comes, sniffs my shin and bites me.</p>
<p>so i’m like to the other two, “yo, i’m outside. get this beast in the room.” so they do. i come back in, show them the scar. they laugh their ass off. why?</p>

<p>cafesimone is waiting for Northwestern to send her a flippin’ email. This only increases cafesimone’s love for the Ivies, as they are GENIUS and KIND enough to inform their applicants when their decisions will come out, whereas Northwestern has not contacted her at all, nor posted anything on their website. </p>
<p>cafesimone also likes to refer to herself in the third person and asks if anybody misses her.</p>

<p>I once got bitten by my aunt’s huge, ugly and totally unnecessary white polar bear. I love cute little dogs like the one that bit the prophet, but I now find big dogs quite scary :)</p>
