Oops late, but yes I have, Galless!

Not many other foods give you so much pleasure at the moment and so much anguish thereafter…

But it was worth it!

Oops late, but yes I have, Galless!

Not many other foods give you so much pleasure at the moment and so much anguish thereafter…

But it was worth it!

I am weirdly calm.

^ Cool, brah.

You wanna…listen to some Jack Johnson…?

I am SO FAR from being calm right now.

Like… I’m actually feeling a little light-headed. I’m going to be completely useless for the next 21 hours.

i dun mind
and I am a gurl not a bro

new member!!!

@ swingdancer - Haha you’ll be fine. Breathe deep, grab a doobie, a glass and a member of the perferred sex, and watch some TV.

Man, 21 hours. I’m so perfectly… mellow.

“Slow Country” - Gorillaz

Relaxing and smiling :)

I am actually listening to that right now

I am currently sick, along with most of the rest of my school. So, from behind the immense fog surrounding my brain, I am pretty calm. It helps that I’ve gotten large acceptance packages from Williams, Smith, and Wellesley in the past week. :)

sure does
i mean, guys, people apply to college and get nothing
or have to take HUGE loans to pay
Let us be grateful

Anyone here a Slumdog Millionaire fan? Currently listening to O Saya…so amazing.

Never saw it
minutes from listening to it
thanx

Man, “O Saya” should have won the oscar. “Jai Ho” was good, but… come on. Fantastic movie, by the way. Danny Boyle’s the man.

@ No2EULA: I am also strangely calm… I just feel so chill, I don’t know why. Not my usual frenzied, decision-crazed self right now.
I’m sure that will change when I get home from school tomorrow… I can’t believe I’m going to know after 5 months of waiting tomorrow. Wow.

I have a question for all y’all: What is Williams’s “prestige level” compared to the Ivies? Prestige at this point matters little to me and I am much enamored of Williams, but I’m just curious how the name Williams sounds next to Cornell, Penn, Dartmouth, Harvard, Yale, Amherst, Tufts, or Duke. (Yes that’s most of my college list, haha).

Slumdog Millionaire was awesome, but Revolutionary Road was MUCH underappreciated. I was moved by it, and I thought DiCaprio and Winslet were BRILLIANT. The topics tackled in the movie were also very interesting. Even the name of the movie itself is genius.
And people criticize Benjamin Button for being tacky: the acting was superb.

Hey ChandlerBing, if you’re accepted to Yale, which are you gonna pick: Williams or Yale?

goldenratiophi: Hmm I think Yale since both schools are my ultimate-awesome-dream schools but Yale was the most ultimate of the ultimate. Williams is a very strong consideration for me, though.
How about you?

Also, anyone care to answer my prestige whore question? ;)

GUYS, I AM ONE MORE POST TO 500

THIS IS MY 500th POST

lol
this is what stress does to you

@ChandlerBing: Williams is definitely very prestigious (for grad school, etc), though you won’t get the instant recognition among people who don’t care about college. Dunno about employers, but I’d assume it’s very good.

I’m actually leaning towards Williams over both Yale and Harvard. Academically they’re all great for my main major (Math), but I love the outdoors and small communities, obviously pushing me in Williams’ direction. Plus, Williams has the SMALL summer research program for math, and tutorials, and the Williams-Exeter program, and…

Yeah. But Yale’s really cool too, and it may end up coming down to financial aid – if I get into Yale, ya know, and there’s a 5.2% chance of that or something like that.

hmmm…ChandlerBing, it depends.

Worldwide, Harvard, Yale or Princeton is much more well known than Williams. Even in northeastern US, I’d say that those names are much more prominent than Williams.
But people who DO know of Williams know that its undergraduate program is, in most parts, far better than those of Cornell or Tufts. Most people I’ve talked to who knows Williams immediately recognizes the greatness of the undergraduate program.

But name value among common people? Not that much. :P

[edit] I agree with goldenratiophi; I’m leaning towards Williams as well. What attracts me MOST is the professor-student interaction and the Tutorials, no Ivy has Tutorials. I would like that good interaction with a professor in order to go to a good law school and to learn better in general. Also, I like the Williams-Exeter program as well. :)

^ i agree. when i got into williams, no one knew what i was talking about haha. okay well a couple ppl realized the greatness of it.
