<p>What did you think? H and I were very disappointed. H mentioned that the type of tremors he showed are from the medication not the disorder. We just did not care for the theme of this show and after the hype are surprised that it was not better.</p>
<p>Didn’t watch it cause I am camping, but I don’t decide if I am going to continue with a show that seems interesting till I watch at least two or three episodes.
Several shows that I really enjoy, had fairly weak initial seasons even, but it took that long to sort themselves out.</p>
<p>oregon101, I felt the same way after seeing the two episodes that aired back to back. I didn’t think the acting was very good, and the humor wasn’t very funny. I do hope the show improves, because I like Michael.</p>
<p>Yes, the critics panned it too, but get read for several more episodes because apparently NBC has already purchased an entire season of shows, according to one review I read. Maybe that’s a favor to Michael J. Fox, a guy who help get their Thursday Night ratings blockbuster get started 30 years ago.</p>
<p>I thought it was cute. With all the build-up these past few weeks I’m not sure the pilot could have lived up to the hype. I think it’ll take a few more episodes to see if there’s really good writing there of if they’ve just built a show around MJF’s condition.</p>
<p>I don’t know if it was a problem with our local affiliate but the audio from the show was horrible and it made it difficult to catch all the dialog. Our other channels were fine so I know it wasn’t a hearing issue.</p>
<p>I was turned off by most of the second episode but ended up being touched by the MJF character’s explanation of his behavior.</p>
<p>I, too, thought it was cute, and would likely be impossible to live up to the NBC super-hype. It certainly was better than any of the other new sitcoms I have watched so far but, like others, I will usually watch 2-3 episodes before deciding to continue or never watching again. I’ll give The Goldbergs another chance but it would be difficult to sit through another episode of either Brooklyn 9-9 or Trophy Wife. I haven’t watched Mom or The Crazy Ones yet, but have them on my DVR. It’s so difficult to get a comedy just right, especially from the start.</p>
<p>Mom had enough there for me to watch again but I wouldn’t bet that it’s gonna take off. The Crazy Ones…the scenes between Robin Williams and James Wolk were pretty hysterical IMO…tho I feel like SMG was the wrong choice for the daughter.</p>

<p>It was up against 2 other shows already scheduled on the DVR (project runway and glee), so I couldn’t watch. After reading this, don’t think I will bother.</p>
<p>There were two back to back? Somehow the DVR only taped one. We saw the one about the crush–what was the other one about?</p>
<p>I was eager to tune in to MJFox Show but gave up on it after 15 minutes. I don’t enjoy the filmed look of it and the rapid fire quirky dialogue. It feel like every character just wanted to through their clever lines out, but there was no communication. Just not my style. I truly enjoy MJFox character of Louis Kane on the Good Wife. I guess he won’t reprise that role with his own show now.</p>
<p>I havent watched the show. While I admire MJF for his courage in dealing with an awful disease and his work in awareness for Parkinsons’s - its simply too painful to watch him. I lost my husband to this disease.</p>
<p>I actually think they are handling the illness better than I expected. I had low expectations for the show so it was better than expected. I think the show will last longer than The Crazy Ones. Although parts were really funny, I think the pace was just off. I feel sorry for SMG. she basically was hired to frown and be stressed. What a waste of her talents.</p>
<p>I tried to watch a bit of the first episode and wound up changing the channel after a few minutes. Maybe it’ll hit its stride in a few episodes, but it was pretty rough.</p>
<p>The baseball themed show on ABC shown between The Middle (an underappreciated show) and Modern Family really surprised me. Previous years it’s been Suburgatory which was an absolute cringefest, and I expected this show to be similar. Was pleasantly surprised. Not sure if it’ll stay funny for more than a season or so, but I’ll still at least tune in for the next few episodes.</p>

<p>There are a very few entertainers I’ll “forgive” a bad experience. MJF happens to be one of them. </p>
<p>While I found the pace of the show to be extremely annoying (ridiculously fast one liners that seemed to be blurted out rather than paced for impact), the sound quality of the first 2 episodes were abysmal (so yes, deega123, you weren’t the only one that noticed that muddiness), and the storyline somewhat trite, I will continue to record it and fast forward through the commercials, and delight in seeing my beloved week after week. </p>
<p>On a positive note, I thought having his real wife Tracy play his flirtatious neighbor was pretty clever, as their chemistry fills the screen (and any photos you’ll ever see of them together). Unfortunately, the woman playing his wife and he don’t have the same spark, and therefore isn’t as believable for me. And the kids…ugh, same old, same old, brainy child not living up to potential…blah, blah, blah. Sad sack sister-in-law seems almost modeled after Everybody Loves Raymond’s brother Robert (a terrific character, played by a terrific actor). </p>
<p>But MJF! <3 sigh…</p>
<p>Now to go watch Crazy Ones.</p>

<p>By the same standards, Moms has some nice stuff but the jokes are really awful and I mean in an unfunny way. All Chuck Lorre shows deal in the tawdry but these jokes aren’t funny.</p>
<p>I was disappointed. I thought MJF made up for the lack of expression on his face due to Parkinson’s by overacting. I have nothing but admiration for him and can’t imagine how difficult it must must be for him to film this. I also thought the dialogue was forced and too fast. I just don’t see it lasting.</p>
<p>I did not like the second one any better…</p>
