Say yes to the dress!
I LOVE your first Kamarov. The wrap did it for me.
I love the Kamarov. I tried the Anthropologie Somerset Maxi in blue last year. It did not look good at all on me. Maybe you will have better luck. I like the print. I feel like the MOG and MOB can be a little dressier than the rest of the guests.
Back to the other comment about what to wear to as destination wedding for mother of bride ā¦I think itās less important that itās a destination wedding and more important where the setting is and that you are MOB. Soā¦appropriate for the setting and weather and style of the wedding but maybe a bit fancier than the other guests may be, and on the fancier side of your own style. In this case that may mean some flounces, or a ruffle, or a varied hem length, or a sheer layer over another layer or some ruching or smocking. Of course something you feel good in.
Having said that, the Komarov dresses pack and travel very well- lightweight and usually donāt wrinkle as much as other dresses.
Very helpful, thanks
I wore a fancy dress with sequins for my sonās wedding 6 years ago. I loved that dress.
My daughter said that dress wouldnāt work for hers. So Iāve been trying to figure out that sweet spot.
On the beach. In June. And still feel like myself.
Which is girly but usually pretty plain.
Great point!
For a wedding guest or for pre-wedding gatherings!

Love this style!
I love that!
Looks pretty flattering for my post menopausal tummy!
That Adelyn Rae Nordstrom dress looks fabulous!
2, 1, 4, 3 in that order.
Were these for the wedding itself, or the surrounding events?
I like 2 better than 1 because I think the colors work better for your skin tone. They both fit well and either would be great for the beach wedding. I donāt like 3; looks very bulky, all I see is dress and very little Deb. Dress 4 is very cute - would that be for a brunch?
Agre with @Marilyn I really like #2 the best.
I like 2 best and 3 least. 4 is very cute, but more casual. 1 is a very pretty dress and it fits you well, but you and the dress kind of blend into each other.
Thanks. Now some of my comments
-
ugh on me. The color washes me out. Itās a beautiful dress but not my dress. Also my pale arms look huge.
-
better. The ceremony is on the beach and I while I think this dress needs heels, I wonder how it would look with flats. Color is a much better fit. This dress is very lightweight for the beach.
-
reluctantly agree that this print is too much for my frame.

not fancy enough for the wedding but I have to say that itās my favorite. Love the color and fit. Maybe a rehearsal dress but itās at a barbecue place. Itās probably the dress thatās most āmeā. Too casual. Could be a contender for brunch the day after.
What the posters above me said! Both Komarov dresses look good on you. The blue dress is so cute! Iād keep it just because it is so cute on you and so universal. The lemon dress doesnāt look festive enough, it almost looks like a house dress, unfortunately.
I agree with the others. 2 is best, 4 is super cute but not dressy enough, 3 is too much dress and 1 is cute but not right.
Same reactions as the other poster, plus Debās comments.
#2 is best, lovely for MOB at destination wedding, I love #1, but it doesnāt match your skin tone. #3 too foofy, #4-too casual for MOB, but probably great to keep for another occasion or the brunch. Very flattering.
Okā¦totally honesty. I actually #1 the best as a dress and how it fits youā¦and donāt think itās so bad with your skin tone. Put some tanning bronzer on. Yes, #2 is a bit more vibrant, but Iām not fond of that midi length on you, especially with flats. A heel would be better, a kitten heel at the very least. The best would be a higher wedge espadrille that ties around the ankle to take up some more room on your legs and balance out that length of dress. I donāt like the others. Stock photos can be so deceiving.
As far as #1 fading youā¦you donāt have lipstick, blush or any makeup or jewelry on.
