As everyone was disappointed, I will share a story more closely related with the title.

As a dual enrollment student, I was at my local community-turned-state college a lot for classes. In one, there was a girl (about 21) who had already completed a BA in English and Women’s Studies at a regional LAC. She was taking classes for an Associate’s in something or other, so was in my Astronomy class.

She talked about how for the three years she was in college, she had a double room to herself, as it was her plan to scare away all of her roommates. I will recount the stories she told of how she did this. These are her words and descriptions. I’ll call the girl “M,” in the standard confidentiality thing, even though it hardly matters if I shared her first name.

1.) Roommate: “stereotypical” Asian girl. Apparently from a very traditional family, she didn’t get out much. While “M” was friends with several gay guys, the girl was very homophobic. One day, she came in to see a black gay guy helping M with clothes or something and started yelling homophobic and racist slurs. The two start yelling at her until she cries and leaves, never coming back.

Okay, not that big of a story, but I’m saving the one that pertains until #3.

2.) Roommate: very peppy older student coming back to school, excited to have “college experience” she never had when she was younger (also, loves the color pink and standard girly things). M dresses all in black, gets a bunch of piercings, drapes her side of the room in black, and listens to death metal, always talking about death and such. Eventually, the woman leaves.

3.) Roommate: Hispanic girl who didn’t even get the chance to move in. M was unaware that the girl was bringing her whole family to help her move in, so decides to scare the girl off right away. She strips naked, gets hammered drunk, pours alcohol around the room and on herself, with bottles littered about, and lays on the floor pretending to be passed out when the people come in. She hears gasps and rapid-fire Spanish, then the door slams and they’re gone.

That’s what the thread title reminded me off.
