The new Caitlyn Jenner

Quite an amazing photo.

Docu-series on E! beginning in late July.

I’m very happy for her. The look is a great mashup of Jessica Lange, Julie Newmar, Janice Dickinson and Geena Davis.

I actually don’t think she looks that good. More power to her- after lying to 3 wives- but I don’t think she is any beauty, despite all the work that went into that cover photo.

Amazing what they can do with airbrushing, makeup, lighting, and some other tricks (to give her the curves you see), I don’t know what state her body is in, but put it this way, unless she has already had breast implants, unlikely a 65 year old would get that kind of breast development from hormones, and the hips are too big, that is padding (hormones won’t do that)…Put it this way, when you see Ms. Jenner in real life photos, I can guarantee you it won’t look like that…then again, the reality of most magazine spreads is highly questionable, to say the least.

At least she looks better than she has the last couple of years!

Well, I don’t want to bodyshame a transgender person. We do enough of that to women who are born women.

I say, more power to her, and good luck. She’ll need it.

I’m guessing that she has already had implants done or those are some cutlets!

I also have an issue with that. Whatever your sexuality is, gay, straight, bi, whatever, once you go down a path, stick with it. If that’s not possible, then don’t rinse and repeat.

The article mentions she’d had implants, yes.

I thought the wives knew about the sexuality issues.

Regardless, if this is what Ms. Jenner wants for,the rest of her life, I say…great.

Whomever did her ā€œworkā€ did an awesome job!

I think she looks great.

I hope she finds peace and happiness.

@Youdon’tsay - I definitely saw Jessica Lange in my first glance at her.

After she, then he killed that woman on Pacific Coast Highway, an accident that was his, now her fault, I think it’s a bit unseemly to be crowing ā€œit’s all about meā€. I understand why Jenner cannot talk about It with litigation pending, but I wonder what that woman’s family is thinking about all the publicity seeking. Jenner doesn’t seem sorrowful for his negligence that cost that woman her life, just celebrating his new one. It just seems somehow off putting to me.

I’m confused by breast implants while keeping male genitals. But whatever.

My son has a friend who is transgender. Started the chemical castration process at 16! I couldn’t understand why his parents would support that decision at such an early age. About six months ago I asked him, ā€œBut why?ā€ I told him ā€œSweetie, you don’t want to be a woman.ā€ I went on to tell him that it’s hard being a girl and boys are so cool. I’m sure this kid gets this type of reaction all the time because he is very open about the process. Anyway, transgenders put up with so much crap from people, and yet, they push on to what feels true to them. So I really do admire those who can do this without an accumulation of emotional wreckage in others.

While I’m hugely supportive of this transition, Caitlyn? Really?

Was there a reason for that choice?
Without the photoshop, lighting, etc she’s still going to be over 60 . Caitlyns are under 30. That’s like a 60 year old Karen becoming a Noah or a Liam or even a Brandon.

If it were me I would have gone with a name women my age used…There are plenty in the names thread. Charlotte, Catherine (Cat) even Cate…

Oh let her be. Is it necessary to dissect everything?

Remember Renee Richards (born Richard Raskind)? That was a story back in the mid-70’s. I think 40 years means this isn’t really a story except for the absurd, I’d say irrational fame of the Kardashians. I doubt anyone would care that she has been Bruce Jenner if not for this.

Caitlyn is not keeping this a discreet, private matter - Diane Sawyer, Vanity Fair and the upcoming docu-series put her transition in the public eye - and that invites questions and discussion. I don’t know that it’s fair to criticize people for dissecting everything given the circumstances.

No one is criticizing. Just saying even though she put it out there, it doesnt mean it has to be sliced and diced.
