The New Official 2011 Wait for AP Scores Thread

@Jalmoreno- until the scores come out, rightfully so lmao (i sound so cruel lol).

Can someone who has a Twitter account please tweet Trevor and ask how close?

Start the tweet with @ap_trevor

I think you tweet and tag AP Trevor? I’m not sure though.

not sure either

Does trevor like torturing people by not updating his damn twitter??

@dancinggbear
uhh yes, yes it does.

bear (hahah no pun intended) in mind that the value in the answers for your width will be 2x not x. so we have x=y=20/square root of 2. plug them in you’ll get 400. or plug in for pythagorean theorem. or consider a 45 45 90 triangle. do it how you’d like. it’s the right answer. because as i said, A=max=400 sin (2 t) ----> A max= 400 -----> sin 2t = 1---->2t=90 degrees----> t= 45 degrees. x^2 +y^2 = 400 ----> hyp. = square root of 400= 20.
45 45 90 triangle has respective sides of 1, 1, and 1 radical 2. therefore if hyp = 20, the sides will be 20/radical 2 = 14.1421. since the dimensions of the rectangle are going to be y by 2x, the answer is 14.1421 by 28.2842

I don’t think they’re coming out today though lol. Cuz he went from saying late afternoon today to saying “Hoping for later today”. Idk, trevor, idk…

I’ll tweet AP Trevor. I’m following him hehe

I was hoping for top 20 rank, but my school didn’t tell us. And calling guidance is no help, they won’t even check people’s ap scores for them when they’re available.

i bet his followers will significantly drop once these scores come out lol.

EDIT
I’m 1 unweighted but 2 weighted. It’s annoying how IB and post secondary students have ALL of their classes weighted. Not fair to AP students.

OMG YOU ARE SO RIGHT. i LOVE YOU.

Course they’ll drop. Who’d keep following him lol?

He said tests on the system are going well so I bet it is today.

@sean- let us know what you find out by tweeting ap trevor

lol dancinggbear, you’re welcome.
@jallidalli
IB classes are all weighted? I saw nothing special in them, neither standard level or even higher level. and didn’t like the restrictions, so I went with APs.

You could just check Twitter yourself.

My school doesn’t offer IB. What’s the difference?

Lol, I get so mad when I think it’s a tweet from him about scores coming out and it turns out that it’s just one of his stupid comments on curriculum and crap lol.

@silonthesofa- Yep, and I agree with you. It’s just a bunch of busy work if you ask me.

EDIT

IB is more driven towards those who plan to go to colleges outside of the US or those who want a focus more on the humanities and, I guess, phiolosophical side of classes. It’s a lot less facts. But they have to write so many essays and crap that I think are just busy work.

IB courses are 2 year while APs are 1. IB is a whole diploma program, in which kids have to choose from 3 higher level courses and 3 standard level, with i think at least one in each subject matter, so a science, a math, a language, a foreign language, something something something not sure of the logistics. then at the end of senior year they take exams on each of them. each is scored 1 out of 7, making a total possible 42. add to this the two semester you have to do of theory of knowledge, one as second semester juniors, one as first semester seniors, and the possible 3 points from the ToK essay, and you have a total possible of 45. 42 out of 45 is considered amazing on IB, but why I’m not so sure since 3 of the classes are “standard level” (which really is not all too hard at all), and the ToK essay is just one essay.
