Do you guys immediately go and read all three questions? I tend to panic during an exam, so just in case the other essays are hard I don’t do that. I read the DBQ, do that, read the CoT, do that, and then read the CC and do that. If say, I was in the middle of writing the CoT and then accidentally read the CC and saw how hard it was, I would be freaking out while writing my CoT and I don’t want that, lol.

I did. I wrote 5 pages for DBQ, and 3 pages each for FRQ. 11 pages overall. Needless to say, one of my essays was bs as I was short on time.

Same. I wrote 5 for the dbq, 5 for the change over time and 4 for the compare and contrast so 14 pages in total, finishing with about 2 minutes left.

I had like 30 seconds left, but I almost always write right up til the end. I had 17 pages - 6 for DBQ, 5 for CC, 6 for COT

@MagicalMalik - I did, but I wish I didn’t, that was definitely a distraction

I would just like to comment on how drastically different the dbq for European history and World History was this year…

I think I got 55 of the multiple questions right with 13 wrong and 2 skipped. I answered the first two essays, the dbq and the change over time essay, but I skipped the whole essay about racial ideologies. What would my score be if I skipped the last essay for compare and contrast?

You are probably a high 4/low 5 depending on how strong your two essays were.

My hand always used to cramp after writing the essays when I practiced, but I found this pen for people with arthritis called PenAgain and it has worked wonders. My hand didn’t hurt one bit after writing all three essays. I highly recommend it.

I thought I knew what all of the MC questions were talking about, but sometimes after I narrowed it down to two choices it was difficult to pick the correct one.
For the essays… DBQ was easy but the documents were really specific and sometimes annoying to work with. CCOT, easy. Comparison… threw me off guard. I haven’t taken a US history course since seventh grade and I could barely remember much so I BSed and wrote a ton on Latin America.

when i get the test i skim through the 3 essay questions really quickly, but i dont think about possible responses or anything, im just ultra curious to see what they are. if theyre hard, it doesnt really register. i was just wonderng all year, so i really wanted to see :3 then i go back to dbq, then CCOT and then CC :)

Yeah, that was what I did. Except I tried to do the grouping/bias for all the documents first and then looked at the others.
I ended up writing until the very last minute, same with the multiple choice. I guess I’m just a slow worker.

Oh, and is anybody going to take the SAT II for world history after taking the AP? I was wondering how the two tests compared.

Did anyone else notice how we didn’t have a choice this year in terms of what we had to write about? Usually it says “pick ONE of the following three regions:” or something along those lines but this year, the area they asked is where you had to write about, no choices for us about which regions to write about.

Yeah, I also noticed that and I was pretty mad.

I was upset by not having options too… often times you get it on CC and COT… man I wish I took Euro this year

The CC bugged me so much! I wish they had been choose between four different regions, and I especially wish one of them could have been India. If it had been India, it would have been really easy to write about.

For the COT, it kinda worked to my advantage since it was so broad, so it was easy to bs it.

can we talk about specific questions just yet? cause i have one that bothering me that i cant in my text book.

What happens if you BS a citation because of time restraints? Would you think that the readers would notice because the sentence is MODERATELY SIMILAR to the information presented in the cited document.

Hey does anyone want to discuss the multiple choice questions? Also does anyone know if this website is credible? I plugged what I expected I would get on the test and it gave me a 4. For example I put in that I got 55 mc right with 13 wrong and 2 skip. For the essays I put 6,4, and 0. It gave me a four. Here is the website.
Wow, everyone wrote so much…

I felt okay about the multiple choice. If I didn’t make any bubbling mistakes, 12-15 wrong.

Did decently on the DBQ…2 and a half pages. Also wrote 2 and a half pages for the CCOT and the CC. Wasn’t sure how well I addressed the CCOT and CC though, the prompts were kinda strange.

You guys are talking about pages in terms of front = 1 page and back = 1 page right?
Either way, most of you wrote alot more than me. I finished with 30 minutes left, but now I wish I had written more…

Why are you guys writing so much? I wrote two pages for DBQ, 1 and 1/3 for COT and 1 and 3/4 for the CC last year and got a five…

^ Honestly, I don’t understand how anyone could have 10 or 11 pages worth of essays, and someone here had 17.

For me:
MC - pretty easy, with a couple random ones I had to guess at [like that building that looked like a blob]
DBQ - easy and straightforward, but unfortunately gave me false confidence for the other two essays…
COT - Terribly organized, but I mean I’m sure they’ll get the gist of what I was trying to say…
CC - Was just so strange and random. I possibly did okay…

All in all, it wasn’t even three quarters as bad as I thought it would be. AND NOW IT’S OVER!

I did fairly good on the mc (about 62 out of 70), extremely good on the DBQ, and kinda good on the first essay.
However, i was being stupid and misread the prompt of the last essay and wrote something completely irrelevant. Is there any chance that I can still pull off a 5?
