@Zalrons how do you know we live in San Mateo? Were you at CSM?
My daughter did not apply for the UCLA Alum Scholarship as it seems daunting with all those interviews and she didn’t want to do it. And they made it sound like there looking for Rhodes scholar types.

I’m prejudiced, but you should choose UCLA!

@lindyk, I remember you mentioning San Mateo in a post at some point and thought it was cool! And I live in Santa Rosa and go to the local JC here. A bunch of my cousins went to CSM.

My major is anthropology and I did change my preferences to transfer themed housing. My mom knows someone who works for the UCLA alumni department so she’s pushing me to apply. I really don’t want to considering the chances of getting it are so low… Apparently the lady recommends that everyone apply.

@Zalrons the transfer theme sounds pretty good. I hope Emilie gets it. All I know is the actual number of scholarships they give out is pretty low based on applicants. Like only 85 transfers got it last year, as I recall. And the way they pitch it, if you aren’t going to be the next president of the US, good luck. (But that might all be bluff.) They really look for years and years of leadership, so they say. I have the PDF instructions for the interviewers if you want to see it. Can I attach files in private messages?

Both came by usps
Ucsd packets is more fun and comes with a nice admissions certificate
ucla one is just very professional looking i didnt know it was scented tho lol

I am taking an extra class this spring that I did not specify in my academic update. Do I have to report it and could this negatively affect my decision?

Hmmm, I’m starting to think UCLA did not receive any of the changes in the schedule I submitted after TAU.

On the transcripts section, it shows they’re expecting records from SMC (I dropped after the first class) and from Foothill College which I attended from 01/14 to 03/14 (I’m currently in another class at Foothill).

It also shows that they’re expecting transcripts from UCLA…
